Many years ago when I was randomly trolling around for a new music channel I found this video something like 6 years ago. You entertained me with 1 string and intentional overacting. Some professional artists couldn't do that for me with 6 strings and putting forward a serious show.

I've been re-watching this video every now and then since release. It's unreal how memorable and amazing it is. And it made me listen to metal too.
I remember I was a teenager when I commented, in Spanish, that this video wasn't an improvisation... Not sure what I wanted to prove back then, but I came back just to say this is one of the best guitar videos on youtube. So talented. Good use of palm mute. Perfect tempo. Wild-right hand technique. Explain why it's not?
I always max out my gain and the knobs on my guitar and keep the volume knob on my amp at like 1-2. It sounds just fine for me.

It's crazy to see the comments and how many people found this as a kid, and got into metal, and guitar. Now I found it as a kid and have been binging these videos. I'm pretty sure I'm getting into this stuff, this rally is inspiring. Hella cool

By the way, Djent is a whole genre you can play with one string only...
Trexx Unlike most people, rather than saying "you suck", i'm going to give you some constructive criticism. Even though he is using only 2 strings, you can play every single note on the guitar still just in 2 different octaves.
Guitar/music isn't just about who can play all the strings as fast as they can, every person has their own gifts, and skill sets that makes their guitar playing Unique, but NOT BETTER than anyone else's. If everyone played guitar the same way, music would be boring, hopeless, and corrupt.
You haven't even looked at David's channel, or his newer vids they've become more innovate, and creative. So why judge a book by it's cover? Why not explore and see what David's Music has to offer?
He sounds good, really really good.
Well, I'm not critizicing the guy himself. I'm critizing the impact of the video and how some people really believe, that this is indeed awesome.
I am a blues guy and I'm also not a fan of supespeed guitar playing.
What I appreciate in guitar playing is something that somehow speaks to you, something that is worth listening to.
I don't know why are you giving me that shit of this being unique and original, just a guy playing random riffs in drop D... there's a whole genre that does this you know.

David MeShow, I think I may have been among the first to view this after it was first posted in 2007. Your playing is really good, but your antics are what makes this so fun. I accidentally stumbled upon this again this morning and I think I got as big of a kick out of it this morning as I did when I first saw it 8 yeas ago. HAHAHA. Perhaps the fact that I, too, have a slightly twisted mind is the reason I have enjoyed this so much. LOL. Nice job on the playing, and the comic relief is great, too. Keep Rockin', brother!

I used to watch this when I was in the 7th grade on the regular. I still get just as much enjoyment from it 13 years later. From 1:05 - 2:00 is my favorite. But the part at 1:35 will always be special to me. it was my favorite 13 years ago and still is to thos day!

I'm 23 now 15 years ago I heard about the first metal and rock music and I fell in love with time listening to music and watching different videos I came across this talent and I would say that he is one of the people who made me buy my first guitar and still I like to spend my free time with guitar and music, I thank this person because as a child he was the example I was looking for and I follow to this day, thank you.🤘🤘🤘
