Let's all acknowledge the trouble gone through to bring us content and the risk of inexpensive parts so we don't get burned. Thanks brother it's much appreciated.
Bro, thank you!!! You inspired me to fix my 440ex. I bought mine for 1500 and took it out 3 times before I started hearing a tick. When I changed the oil, a tic tac size of aluminum came out of it, and the tick was still there. Still ripped liked a bat out of hell. Was going to sell it, but I'll keep it and fix it. Thanks, man.
That thing should be a beast! I like it man👍🏻 I rode a buddy's stock 400ex when I was like 15 or something and I loved it. I'd imagine this 440 is right! Great video dude ✌🏻
You should always wash the cylinder with hot soapy water then blow it out and oil it right after.. Even new cylinders sent from yamaha or machine shop. have so much dirt and grime from boring or honing in them still.... Dont know if you already washed before video but I figured I'd let you know... Awesome videos love all the trikes you collect.. I've had a 86 250r and a 85 350 x.. Never rode a tri z are they close to a 86250r in power
I wish u did more in depth videos on how to rebuild motors like say things to look out for, why things r the way they are, things that if u were doing it for the first time would b good to know. Not that u dont but just a lil more in depth
Man I love your content always have but you should have ran circlips in that piston but then again maybe the G style clip from numera r good I don't know because I've never ran namira so they might be good but any other brand that has G style clips i don't trust I've seen failures get to the third heat cycle and pop out
Why does everyone keep asking this question. You clearly have the internet if you’re watching TH-cam. There’s literally hundreds of them on eBay and Amazon.
Good video. I’ve got a couple similar projects as you. Huge favor though. Please, please don’t show “test rides” w/out a helmet. Hard enough getting our kids to wear em as is. Thank you!

The hardest part of top end jobs is compressing the piston rings and sliding on the cylinder! Always a pain in the ass!
