Your little nugget is learning skills for life! I used to help build sets in the theater from about her age, and it's really helpful to be handy!

I agree I've had too many of my girlfriends call me whenever they buy new furniture that needs putting together or help even doing something simple like hanging something because they don't know the first thing about tools. I'm so glad my dad taught me how to use a lot of tools. I can even change my own oil if I wanted. I don't I just know how ool

I am also in metro Atlanta. Small world indeed! The base really enhanced this piece. I recall appliances in avocado green, harvest gold, poppy red, bronze, etc. Now I want a white kitchen with white appliances and white bathrooms. Clean and crisp. To change the look add pops of color with towels and accessories.

Excellent job! My outdoor adirondack chairs are the same colour only a bit brighter. Thanks for the B. Moore tip with type of paint. Would you be willing to share the colour? I have done my siding in B. Moore Amazon Green. This colour looks amazing with it.
You were so lucky to get such a great piece, but it takes a keen eye and some artistry and diligence to make it in to what it is now. So fun to watch. I’m inspired! Off to the basement. ✌🏼😎
Oh, special mention has to be to your daughter {?} What able hands, for such a young person. Adorable. What a nice patient Mom to include her, and take her seriously. This will be so great for your child’s self confidence. She knows what she is doing, and hasn’t been underestimated, just because of her age. The coolest thing.
Please share more finds. It’s so fun, this craft of up -cycling. Also gratifying to save space in a landfill. These are well made pieces. The quality is far superior to that of many commercial stores, for the most part. (All cheaply made somewhere.) Never level. 😂😂😂
All the best! From the Pacific Northwest. Vancouver Island British Columbia. 🌊🌊🏄🏼‍♀️🌲🌲🌲✌🏼😎

Every room in my house in the 60's was a combination of mustard, orange & brown. Except for the kitchen which was avocado green! Ugh!

I loved your choices of music for this video! And of course I loved getting to see your little nugget helper! Great job on the dresser. I’m going to have to try the Benjamin Moore Advanced paint. You didn’t need to add a topcoat on top of it?

Is that color Savannah Green? I just watched an episode of trending paint for 2023. The guy ( I think it’s Nate) said it’s a color that you either love or hate. I REALLY like it on your dresser!!! The darker hardware really sets it off!!! Great choice for color!!! 😀💕💕💕

Hello!! Thank you for sharing, and inspiring as always! For those of us that take a while to refinish, what are your tips for items left in warehouses/ garages for a few months while working at the project. I’m recently worried about infestation of creepy crawlers now that my piece is stripped while I figure what finish is like to use and finish hand sanding. I do a deep clean before but also should include some type of treatment to the bottom/backing of the pieces? Thanks!

  • @jennifersimone9203

Do you ever sand down these pieces or is your style/preference to go straight to primer and paint?! Beautiful work!!!

    • @blacksheephouse

What primer did you use when working with wise owl paint? I’ve been wanting to use it but I don’t have any retailers near me. I read the shellac is a big no when working with that paint.
