As an empty nester, I have started freezing half my meals to use at a later date. Great for those days I just don’t feel like cooking.

Thanks! This is how I do my cookies. They don't spread out as much if you cook them frozen. I have to hide them from my husband 🤣. He loves the frozen dough.
I make a cookie that has a lot of items in it. I call it My Traffic Jam Cookies!
You look like you have lost weight.
May Jesus continue to bless you and your family

I just love your calm way. Love all your videos. Please don't feel the pressure for content. I'd be happy watching you wash dishes and chatting. The camera loves you and you have whatever "it" is. Hope to go to a Homesteaders gathering someday and meet you. I live near a large Amish community and learned a lot from the girls I employed at my Quilting Retreat. God bless you and your family.

What a smart puppy to learn the bell trick! She is so adorable.... Those look like amazing cookies. I had learnt something yesterday. Someone bought me a air fryer. I tried to make a few cookies in there "didn't want to turn on the big oven". Anyway, it worked great with a small batch. I had bought the dough. But now I am thinking that I am going to make a big batch like you did. That is so clever. You always do such amazing video's. Thank you so very much.

Wash and reuse all our zip bags, unless I had raw meat in there. I do this until they spring a leak (checked during each washing), or the top no longer seals! These days I don't fight trying to get raw meat bags clean anymore. Maybe with soft water, but not this well water. My bag labeling got crazy looking, until I started having minimal info. So for instance the Cilantro labeled bags can hold chopped leaves, frantically stuffed in bag stems with leaves (those wild afternoons before a freeze), minced stems, or even seeds.
I do the same cookie concept with watermelon. Freeze, then bag them up as neatly packed for stacking as possible. Grapes are faster, because it's just rinse, freeze, bag. Can be combined with pre-bagged mini ice cream scoops, sorbet or sherbet type scoops for a refreshing little summer desert bowl. Or bed of granita. (To be completely honest, down here we always eat frozen stuff in winter when it's 70F or so, and less sticky, to get the thrill chill of winter. :) That pop of summer frozen fruit flavors just makes it more delicious.)

That's a good method you use for your home made cookies and dough.
I make my dough, usually I double the recipe twice so it's actually quadrupled. I make dough in a Huge bowl. I bake about two dozen, then freeze the rest in logs. When I want some cookies, I just take a log or two from the freezer, let it thaw a bit, and slice off, form a ball, and bake it.
I make three different kinds like you do, too! Pnut butter, Oatmeal Raisin, and Choc Chip. I also vacuum seal the logs to prevent freeze burn. I need to make more becuz I'm all out of cookie dough now. Have a wonderful day. It's snowing beautifully here in MICHIGAN

Nice to the point video. I bake all of our cookie dough, then flash freeze them (30 minutes for cooked cookies), them bag them and put them in the deep freeze. When we want them I defrost them on the "bread" setting in the microwave. It is quite a time saver and I do not have to wait for our oven to pre-heat. I reuse our ziplock/freezer bags too, sometimes I shake them out, other times I wash them, but if I put any raw/uncooked food in them I will throw the used bag away.

I have 3 dogs - all trained to ring the bell….. which they do often and sometimes for fun. The level of bell ringing raises to frantic if a squirrel is outside. One of my dogs will ask to be let in only to run to the back door and ask to go out - I guess it is quicker than running around the house. They certainly make me laugh.

Yes! Wilbur chocolate is great! For many years (like 15!) my girlfriends and I did a girls weekend every winter at a bed and breakfast in Lititz PA and would pass right by the factory. And often stopped to buy all the chocolate at the factory store. Lucky for me my local Amish market here in Delaware sells the buds and I grab a few bags every time I’m shopping there.

I definitely re use my ziplock bags, because it helps reduce garbage, plus it helps save money.
For your recipe is one stick of butter = to 1/4 cup? I buy blocks of butter or make mine from cream I have never bought butter in sticks.

I freeze cookie dough too! I'll make up sugar cookie dough, roll into a log and freeze for slice and bakes. For my chocolate chip cookies I just form it into a flat rectangle and score deeply. They take up less space in the freezer and are easy to break off as many as you need. Never tried to freeze scoops before, but you have inspired me! I also reuse freezer bags. Why wouldn't you? 😊
