Top 10 Games for the NES - According to Me

- I enjoy watching top 10 lists. Since starting this channel, I haven't done one myself. I thought about several systems, but in the end decided to go with the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES). The NES was my first console as a child, and I have heaps of nostalgia for the games on this list.

Love the NES. I would have put Metal Gear on the list though.
Really great list. My top 10 list of NES has almost all of these in it as well. My list also has Blaster Master as number 2 and Kid Icarus. But the games that you have here that are not in my top 10 are still some of my very favorite NES games. You didn't make a single bad choice here. Good taste in NES.
If you have similar taste to me, which it seems you do, please really learn Blaster Master. Its difficulty pushes people away, but it is very very fun and high quality. Blaster Master and Batman (and Gimmick) are the three best Sunsoft games.
I have played Blaster Master. Kooky story but great game play. I even got the remake from Limited Run Games for the PS4. I will have to try Gimmick though. Never heard of it until now.

Good list. I can't think of Metroid without thinking of Kid Icarus since they were sister titles that we got for the NES on the same Christmas. Kid Icarus will always be in my top 10.
kid Icarus is a game I want to like. I keep going back to try it every once in a while. I just get so frustrated at some of the vertical platforming.

The NES is an amazing console and although the Atari 2600 was my first console it was the NES that started my love and passion for video games.
I enjoyed the video and your Top 10 list has a lot of my favorite games.
I would never tell anyone what they should or shouldn’t have on their lists because every game has a different or similar effect on us and may move each of us differently and I appreciate and respect that. 😊
I can’t do any top 10 list in a particular order I always do them in no particular order so here is

Castlevania fan? I feel like I mention the franchise in nearly every video. lol. Good list. Duck Tales was a really good one. For a Disney game, it was really done well.

Great list. Can't argue with it. Mine is pretty similiar. I think you could swap
MM3/MM2, Castlevania 1/3.
I also have Contra, FF, and Batman in my top 10. Tecmo Bowl, Dr. Mario, Dragon Warrior 1 or 4, Super Dodge Ball, & Punchout. Variety. Zelda and Metroid were perfected on the SNES, hard to enjoy the rough 'first drafts' on the NES.
SMB3, MM2, and Zelda are usually the top 3 games in most lists. Kind of like RSTLN E in Wheel of Fortune... it's like, OK what are the other 7? Great list.
I agree with you. Selecting the top 10 is actually hard when you could have MM3 or Punch Out or Dragon Warrior, etc on the list too. I could easily do a top 20. lol
Just stumbled in this video. Not a bad one. Everyone has their own list and obviously over time they can change. I still have people disagreeing with me as Super Mario 2 is my favourite one.
Super Mario 2 is good too. I like being able to pick from 4 characters that are so diffrent in play style.
Zelda II lol
Not a fan? I know a lot of people don't like it. I remember waiting for it to be released.

I was playing a lot of games at the time and Zelda 2 was better than a bunch of titles being released that year. My favorite part about Zelda 2 was that you got your money's worth because it took a while to beat.

You can make your own top 10. Game ranks are subjective, you are not the lord of all nes ranks.
Zelda 2 IS a good game with some problems. Most people who criticise it never completed or even played it.
Yeah its not good for people who want easy games, but that doesnt makes it a bad game.
Its much like the people criticizing the water temple in OOT. Its one of the COOLEST, more interesting and better designed dungeons in the whole franchise...And its not even hard X) It just takes some exploration skills a lot of people dont have. Only BIG problem it has is the way you use the iron boots. But a lot of newbies see slight difficulty and they whine saying its bad.
