Turns out that drunken man with the rotten eggs at the hot springs is the Warfarer Maister, and you unlock the Warfarer Vocation by giving him 3 bottles of Newt Liquor. HOWEVER, that is impossible with this shortcut method as Newt Liquor can only be gained in Bakbattahl (besides the one bottle in Gautstafr's hut). I guess if someone gifted you 2 additional bottles of Newt Liquor though then you could unlock Warfarer at the same time as Magick Archer.
If im not mistaken, you can actually get 2 bottles of this liquor: 1 from the house of elf and dwarf couple, and craft one with fruit wine(that u get from the quest, for which u dont need to complete coronation quest) and saurian tale.
@@maxbazplay295: Crafting from Fruit Wine, you say? I've noticed some nobles give that as a gift... e.g. Sven. Okay, I'll look into that later. If I find out it is plausible then I might make an extra video.
@@DragonicTerror : I looked up the recipe. Fruit Wine & Saurian Tails. But then if you're going for Forgery, wouldn't it do to take the Newt Liquor from Gautstafr's hut and forge that?
@@SotiCoto I can't say if it duplicates Newt Liquor or not because of price. Seems the more expensive items are less likely to be forged properly so I just went with wine since Saurian Tails are easy to come by and even if it did work, its cheaper with cheaper materials and I had stack of 30 tails already.
That was way more complicated than I expected and is it really worth it. Trying this as a fresh character without a huge item reserve seems impossible. I cracked up at the line about the mystic archer vocation teacher "She's a MILF as you can see"
... I said she's an Elf. But sure. As to whether or not it is worth it, that is really up to the player. As for it being complicated.... well, if it wasn't complicated then it wouldn't require a guide, would it?
I guess most players don't routinely ride Griffins about. I'm pretty sure the devs made it fly super low over the bridge deliberately to allow this shortcut.

@@SotiCoto Yes. Fruit Wine can also be forgery so you can have 3 even before doing the first group of main story quests in Vernworth.

great video. got dwarven smithing and magic archer this way on my first playthrough. surprised more guides dont talk about it.
