@@saml1939 Performing live with no reference speakers or in ears is super hard. You basically have no idea what you sound like. To me this sounded so on point I was impressed I guess.
@@strangedemons2776 Oh for sure - thanks for explaining when you didn't need to. I was struggling to understand what you meant by your statement and I very much agree.
@@strangedemons2776 Yeah, I also wondered what you meant, years ago. Thought you meant that the song was about a very heavy subject which actually put me off from listening to it, haha. But five years later, we finally got the answer! Just love this performance.
Honestly it makes me a bit uncomfortable. I wish guitar people would do some innovation regarding the mismatch between vocal range and normal guitar tunings. I often put a capo halfway up the neck, which of course "raises" the notes... but it's also as if the guitar has been lowered several semitones, which lets me sing at the top of my range but where I'm more comfortable instead of tearing up my throat. It really surprises me how infrequently this is done. People will do stuff like tune the guitar down a half step or even a whole step, but then the guitar doesn't respond as well, and they may still be struggling vocally. Please, for the sake of your voice, just use a capo and/or transpose the chords to put it in a more comfortable range.
This really is the Ultimate version of the song
Massive respect. Not many artists would have the guts to do this and you rock it.
Do what?
