Very generous of Len to share his knowledge at no cost . Most clips are painting demonstrations or tantalizing lessons that leave out vital information that is available at cost. Two thumbs up
Great stuff, and,I don't mind using fingertips ..again. That's the way I started, many years ago. Haven't most of us done "finger painting" as kids? This is the grown up version, and,I love it! Your instruction is superb.
Thank you so much for the demonstration, I've had so much trouble painting clouds. I tried it your way and got it first time. Ah finger painting, so much fun! lol
I love it Len.Great stuff, and thank you very much for putting it up here for everyone. Any chance of the missing couple of videos turning up at all? would love to see them as well.
Are you putting down white acrylic first like you would with magic white, on the entire canvas before you start or only in certain areas. I keep blending into the white undercoat so my trees get gray fast.
Reflecting on Len with that typical Australian accent and mannerisms, I'm reminded of a the culture and spirit of 1980s Australia, when Shane Howard from Goanna, Peter Brock, Bob Hawk, AFL and meat pies, Elle Macpherson, John Farnham, Paul Hogan, and Olivia Newton-John were all household names.
How to Paint Clouds in Seconds. - This video is on my speedpaintingdvds site and will help you with clouds. I use a round hog bristle brush for clouds. A 3/4 inch house painting brush is ok also. Good idea not to use your hands
Wow that looks awful. Plenty of good tricks and ideas there but that is one of the worst looking results I've ever seen, even for beginners it's too unpretty.

If you didn't want to use your fingers for doing clouds, what brush would you recommend? Thank you for your generosity.

You sound more "Ocker" in this video than the current ones, lol. Interesting to see these retro vids, glad you posted this. Cheers.
Tons of good advice. Thanks!
Fantastic lesson! Monochrome is smart for lessons. l never got the contrast perfect but I will on the second attempt. I messed until it went muddy.
Wiping the brush every time before picking up paint and keeping your colours separated on the palette is the secret.

You have absolutely no manners whatsoever. Every artist has a different technique, and, different talents. How good is your paining??
Wow that looks awful.

It is a painting lesson, teaching how to use the brush - does not need to look pretty
Mobaba - I made that video 30 years ago - there are lots of newer ones online
