Don't know much about the mod to be fair, and I think you did an excellent job with choosing the farmer class to get a steady supply of food that keeps you alive. Now I think it would be time imo to get a very offensive class (high DPS weapon) that would also help you to stay alive. One that would help with the horde nights and possible screamer hordes (Saw from others that screamer hordes can be scarier than horde night). A class that unlocks automatic weapon crafting and increases your skills with them too.
@@dwayneg99 Damnnn you can have 3 junk turrets active in DF? Holy moly that is awesome! AND they can use darts? That'll save on ammo too, so one can use looted ammo for POIs and other missions. +1 from me. 👍This will need a redesign for the horde base though... 🤔
The original intent on the coops and snares was that they need to be placed on dirt and have open air above them. With alpha 20 tho it isn’t quite the same yet but probably will be fixed in the future. The learning curve is unreal with this mod so you will make mistakes but you will be able to recover
Personally, I think the easiest way to get black dye is to use grass for green ink, and tomatoes for red dye. Both are abundant enough that it's manageable as you run around and grab the tomato plants. You also have enough tomato already to craft like 4 seeds and that issue is solved. No need to waste inventory space by saving dyes. Put points into Farmer until you can craft Hobo Stew and your food issues/wellness/buffs will disappear. Orange Tea is outstanding. Meat Stew/bacon & eggs, etc were nerfed and are now lame. Also, there are advanced recipes that replace Vanilla's "candies". Frankly, I never need to cook them since the tools/weapons/looting skills I have by then are awesome. Once you can cook Hobo Stew or Sham Chowder, ignore the farming and food stuff. You'll see. Apple and Orange trees can be planted on any ground and do not need a raincatcher. They just grow. Sometimes they glitch (as you'll see). Solve that by digging them up until they "crash" and replant as needed.
I must admit I chuckled when you made your apples in to seeds as I knew you would need them 5 minutes later. As you say, lesson learned. The Farmer class has some interesting shotgun skills which are worth checking out
loving the channel, just started watching :3 you'll want the iron garden hoe ASAP (suuuuch an awesome item and not to be underestimated!) just check the details of it... you'll also want to look into a working player oven and sink when you can, i believe rekt can teach you them if you get enough quest completions from him, i forget at which stage though, 10 or 20 i believe but its also super worth it, its super efficient with recipes and meat and just needs a single car battery to run! :) i hope you're snares work, mine dont, they just make blocks next to them disappear (like other snares, if you do get them to work, you'll still want to space them every other space at the closest, i believe. and honey can be placed side by side, but dont put them on top of one another or the bottom one wont work
Have a look at whether you can craft an upgraded hoe/a hoe from other materials, which might just allow you to harvest more crops (try using it on trees too).
yep.. wot he said.. make a decent hoe as soon as you can, and use that for all harvesting, a good hoe harvests more items than say, an axe or knife. note that apple/orange/banana trees do not need a water; plant them like normal trees but do try to leave say, 3 blocks space between each tree. -- for the rain catcher/trenches, put your crops there. Note you'll need an obscene amount of corn (makes cornmeal which makes polymer) - polymer will be important for mid/later game ammo.
Any recommendations on what I should focus on next?

@@SighClops201 Horde Night is not that far away either
Mechanic class next. Triple junk turrets will SHRED the horde. Plus you can use darts in turrets in this mod which makes them even more lethal.

Great episode! 👍 Good job with getting a steady food supply! That'll keep you alive 😉
That's the plan! :)

Snare has to go on the grass to work. Honey doesnt cure infection all the time. Sometimes takes multiple jars to cure an infection.
Gotcha! Thanks
