What a beautiful place. A great film and very interesting. A beautiful pace of life. A great look in to the past. Unfortunately things aren’t like this now.

Next time I'm in the UK I'll have to head back to visit Beamish again, those narrow gauge locos weren't there then.
    Great video. Thanks

Saw the Binns sign on the bus and memories came back. Not been up to Newcastle since 1974 as relatives all gone. Presume the old shop names have gone as well and the buildings demolished. I think I would prefer to remember Newcastle as it was .

I love to see the engines run into town and rallies it must be fair experience to witness it at Beamish of all places.

Definately one of my favourite days out. First went about 25 years ago and have been 5-6 times since and there is always something new to see.

Yes indeed. Brings back memories of how things used to be. Especially poignant for me as I'm living far away overseas now.

Great film John. Only been there once and I loved it, and need to go again.
If you won the lottery, would you get a traction engine. I would.

John, thank you for the wonderful trip back in time. The only thing that was missing was as in the song "Bobbies on bicycles two by two." You are making a name for yourself in the steam restoration scene. Keep it up.

Do steam engines have engine braking like petrol engines ? (Just wondered this as the traction engine was going down a hill.)

John, excellent video, there was one point where I thought you were going to be part of a tram 😅Beamish is the one museum I would love to visit but I drove close by it, the A1, many times on my way to Scotland for work but never time to stop, now at two hundred miles plus one way its not a day out. I'll make it one day.

John your editing and camera work are brilliant. You are definitely in the wrong job! Looking at some of the scenes it could have been back in the 1940s or 50s.
