    You're a lifesaver, needed to remove seat on my KSR code x for ages to get the tank off

    • @tebcaeroiihs7067
      @tebcaeroiihs7067 ปีที่แล้ว

      Same thing here, the KSR seems to be the worst in maintenance. Poor descriptions in the manual, hardly any useful information other than "consult your dealer."
      Don't get me wrong. This little 125cc is a nice baby and a lot of fun to ride. You just can't believe how annoying a 30-minute search for the lock can be in a dark and cold parking garage.
      So, I'm really glad you put this video online. Have you got any other Keeway RKV / KSR Code 125 video tutorials for riders in despair?
      Best wishes from Germany
      👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

    Thinking about doing this air filter on mine, however im worried because that filter is right behind the engine and its an air cooled bike so hot air would be going to the filter?

    so its better to change for performance filter ? is it changes a lot in dynamics ?

    • @SpikeyOfficial
      @SpikeyOfficial  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Maciej Jakubiec I would say yes. But it isn't a massive increase in power. It's more of the sound it makes that is impressive.

    would that be the same way on a keeway tx125 supermoto can't seem to find out how to take it off

    • @SpikeyOfficial
      @SpikeyOfficial  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Tom Priestley not too sure on the tx but I could imagine it having the same layout seeing as Chinese bikes usually go of a simple design. Worth a shot.

  • @wagonman63

    Underneath your bike looks exactly the same as my old Keeway speed very easy to work on and very well made compared to other Chinese bikes. My seat was easier to remove with a key but had no storage either so was pretty much useless haha RS mate

    • @SpikeyOfficial
      @SpikeyOfficial  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Bennyboy biker Yeah I would have preferred a key rather than using the bolts but I hardly ever take the seat of so it's fine haha. The more I play around with the bike I start to love it even more though haha.

    • @brokenlegz
      @brokenlegz 9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Also. I think that air fuel screw being on the engine side. I think that means it adjusts fuel. Not air.
      Also the way to properly tune them is set your idle slightly high. Then play with the air fuel screw, and wherever the idle sits highest leave the air fuel screw there and adjust your idle back down to where it idles nicely.
      That will give you the most response just off idle.
      Hope that makes sense man.

    • @SpikeyOfficial
      @SpikeyOfficial  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      ***** Thanks mate, i'm a noob when it comes to this but I thought I would give it a go haha. When I next have time I will re adjust it to how you said :D.

  • @lewisb740
    @lewisb740 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    hi ive got the ksr moto ..witch is the exact same bike as the keeway...some one said to make the main fuel jet a couple of points bigger for more power ? ..and i got my bike shop to change the sprockets to more teeth for longer gearing ..i can get up to 25 now in first gear/////!!..any way great vid!

    • @SpikeyOfficial
      @SpikeyOfficial  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +lewis blackwood Yeah you could make it go quicker by getting a bigger carb ect but just be careful because the engine may not be able to cope with the extra power running through it. And at best you will get about 85 just because aero dynamics plays a huge factor in it too. Thanks mate and I hope you have fun with it what ever you do.

    Mine is hard to take off like yours. I don't understand....the ninjas 250 all you have to do is turn a key like the gas tank.

  • @CactusGamer35
    @CactusGamer35 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    hi , i can't speak english very well..
    when you put the air filter on , you should do something to the carburetor or nothing?

    • @SpikeyOfficial
      @SpikeyOfficial  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah you need to re-jet the carburettor or it will run to rich. There are two little screws by the side of the carburettor and you only need to turn until it sounds to be running smooth. Once you do that it really does make a difference.

    Thank you so much .. was doing my head in figuring out how to remove the seat and side panels (obviously have to remove seat first) ...... just a few questions if you don't mind me woffling ? ... as not much information out their about this bike.
    1st how you find the tires ? .. as mine seem dangerous even in dry slips all over place.. doe's not inspire confidence in the corners ... and lethal in wet !
    2nd Gear linkage has too much play and have to give it a good tug to select the gear .. normal ?
    3rd take a very long time to warm up .. keeps stopping at lights and junctions (even with choke on) .. also normal ?
    4th seems easy to stall ..more annoying if anything.
    Other than the above i have no real complaints about the bike .. looks excellent, quite fast for a 125cc and pulls really well ..only does 70mph..but it gets there pretty quick ..again for a 125cc .. Brakes excellent, stops an a dime , stock exhaust sounds nice.. .. and dare i say the build quality is much better than the other Chinese bikes .. Sinnis / pulse ..etc ... Seems good and solid and don't feel cheep at all ..... Oh .. and i sprayed the Exhaust heat shield red so it matches other red bits ..looks really nice ..better than the black

    • @SpikeyOfficial
      @SpikeyOfficial  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      cyberjack yeah I remember looking for ages before I figured it out haha. Well for the 1st one the tyres are crap but you will be better of getting some decent tyres as the stock tyres are just some nasty nylon tyres. The gears do have a bit of play in them especially from 1st to second. But I mean I just got on with it.

    • @SpikeyOfficial
      @SpikeyOfficial  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      cyberjack the bike does take a while to warm up and even with the choke on I always had problems with it. But once it gets running it's fine. And yeah it has cut out on me a couple of times especially after long rides. And I'm not sure why 😂. But it was a great little bike. And like you said the build quality for a Chinese bike is pretty good.

    • @cyberjack
      @cyberjack 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you sir for you time to answer .. Glad its not just me then lol ... for the money you certainly do get a lot of bike.. and worth the little niggles.. I'll swap the tyres tho tbf. :-)
