Hi from Australia, we've just found your channel and are so enjoying watching. We hope to be able to do the same as you in about another year and a half ... your camera work and editing are great and you give us so many ideas, thanks for sharing your experiences so that others can learn
Hi Emre & Maia! Can I ask you what your apartment cost per month? I found the website for the rental agency, but just hoping to get a quick number as a reference point. My wife and I are retired and just starting to explore slow travel. Plan to travel to San Sebastian this fall. We have mostly been using hotels for the conveniences, but of course it's not that practical for the long stays. Would appreciate the info and wishing you the best in your travel experiences!
❤Emre & Maia are our faves too. HOW MUCH do we need to live well in San Sebastian is DOUBLE what it costs us in Aix en Provence...and I know beautiful places where a couple of bon vivants can live exuberantly for less than $2k/month. The priciest locales like San Sebastian will cost about $10k being frugalish. But WITH NO MONEY --- YES🎉 it's still possible!
Thank you for watching! We went off season and booked far in advance in a relatively new property with not a lot of ratings at about 100$ a night. They have apartments across price range, and across San Sebastian, so some will be much more, others less. And the dates matter a lot for the price. As a property gets popular the prices can go up too. We liked that they pick up the phone and answer any and all questions in English before you book. Also, they have a swat team of really polite technicians that arrive promptly if you have issues with the amenities or need help. Enjoy your retirement travels!!!!
@@happygoluckytravel Thanks guys! That's what I was looking for. I could have called them, but of course they will tell me it depends on a lot of factors with very broad price range. $100 bucks gives me a ballpark, as we try to travel off season as well. We have a pretty broad budget depending on if it's a bucket list destination or we just want to experience local culture for longer periods. Do you have an email address you could share. I would love to compare notes on places to visit. For example, when we did an Amalfi Coast, Sorrento, Capri trip, we found Ischia Island which turned out to be the hidden gem in that area. I see similarities in our situation, so if you don't mind an occasional email interaction, let us know. We currently live in Hilton Head Island, SC, but plan to spend much more time abroad. Thanks and safe travels.
It must be fun to be blocking out your upcoming trip! We don't have an email for HappyGoLucky at the moment but do appreciate your tip on Ischia and welcome any comments or questions here. Safe travels to you too. Keep us posted on where you decide to go on your adventure to find local experiences and culture, which we commend!
🌧️ RAIN IS REAL 🌧️ We're in Donostia now. Prices ❓ 🎉 Hmmm, Summer Prices will make you feel like you are truly making a contribution to the Basque Economy 🎉(if you can take that pov😊)
You guys are awesome! Nice work on the Euskera name for the City. I used to live in Bilbao :)😊

🎉Broad Budget Travelers need a network to exchange our tips. MAIA & EMRE would be ideal hosts for this idea exchange. ❤@@jonmaher2531
