Carving a Venus shell in marble

For a stonemason in the Netherlands, I carved a Venus shell (Jakobsschelp) motif in quite hard Arabescato marble. This piece served as the vertical part for a washing basin or small wall fountain. Because of short delivery time and urgency I carved it from a photograph in the course of a few days.

The poster child for PPE's and a true artist.
I do have all of those things, but I find the full face mask can sometimes hamper my vision. (Marble dust is not abrasive on the lungs) But I am wearing earplugs though, but chances are you didn't see them. Thanks for the compliment!

Wonder if you could let us know where you got your marble?
This was Italian Carrara marble, but as I just carved part of it for a stonemason's I got it supplied by the stonemason firm themselves. Normally I don't carve much in marble, but it can be bought from sculptor's supplies shops, for instance.
