Thank you for every word. I need this so badly right now. Some people say that I talk too much about my personal business, publicly. I say, "I'm a writer. I write about my life and the oddities of it, and somewhere in my attempts to understand why everything points to Purpose until you tire, you hurt too much, you lose your energy, your drive, your zest, your inspiration, and your life suddenly loses it's Meaning. Inspiring story on confidence and self belief: Once upon a time, there were two twins. Two young girls, who looked completely alike. One thought of herself as beautiful and God’s gift to humanity. The other one, for whatever reason, saw herself as ugly and unattractive.Girl one. God’s gift to humanity, walked down the street and passed by a group of boys. The boys started laughing, pointing and whispering something to each other. The girl thinks she is beautiful. So she assumes they find her attractive and she walks.. no.. she saunters by, full of confidence.
- "They like me" - she thought to herself and smiled.
Girl two. The one who unlike her twin, who thinks she’s Ms. Universe, thinks she’s ugly, went through the same exact scenario. The boys started laughing and whispering. This girl thinks she is ugly. So she assumes that the boys also find her ugly and her making fun of her. She passes by shoulders slumped and looking down.
- "Why are they mocking me?" - she thought to herself and frowned..
Same situation. 2 completely different perspectives. Powerful story, huh?
