If you want to see her in a live stage performance definitely watch her performance at the Asia Song Festival 2017; she does two songs, and it's unmistakably live in front of thousands of people - and yes she does some whistle tone along with just her incredible singing.
And it's worth also looking at her version of "And I Am Telling You" which she did at the end of one of her shows and pulled NO punches for. Not a whistle in that one but plenty of other amazing vocals

I know, you get into the bridge and you're not ready for that whistle, then you get into the chorus and the volume and clarity of her voice that never let up. Also, notice she doesn't seem to breathe, and after all of that barrage of volume she would bring it down while hitting another whistle note to terminate the song and gave you a chance to let off a breath for her. Then, she smiles!
