Hi everyone, thanks for watching! 👀
There are some corrections posted below I will be editing them out soon. We do apologize for this and work hard to bring you 100% accurate information.
This is in no way Glen the narrators fault so please don't take it out on him.🙏 Thanks!
    Number 15 is a Dodge Viper RT/10 ✔ and not a SR1 ❌
Number 2 In 1991, a Jaguar XJ220 prototype was testing on the infamous Nürburgring and set a lap time of 7:36.46. ✔ Seven minutes not seven hours❌ as stated in the video.

Although not exotic cars when i think of 90’s cars I think of the Supra, Rx7, 300Zx and Mitsubishi 3000GT. My favorite 90’s car being the Original NSX.

I agree. My mom's boyfriend owned a black NSX in the mid 1990's and I was permitted to drive it. Very fun, nimble, and quick with the driver commanding the NSX to do almost anything with surprising ease.

We were buying 'old' S15s, R33s, Supra facelifts for £6-9k ($9-12k) in the mid 2000s. I bought my last R32 for £3,800 . Now they're insane money for what they are.

I had posters of the racing cars on my bedroom walls. It was and still is the closest I will come to owning one of them. The Nippy's doors are a delight. Combine that with the quirky Midget 2 and keep that price tag? Shoot I'd love to ride in something like that. Add a small camper top to its flat bed for short get aways.

The XJ-220 was the fasted production car in the world in 1992 it hit 217mph. But before a few months passed the new Italian built Bugatti EB-110 broke the record and hit 218mph. The F1 later slashed the record of the 2 with a top speed of 240mph in 1994! One year after the F1 went on sale in 1993. That record was unbroken until the Veyron in 2006 which did 253! Of course the current fastest in the Koenigsegg Agera RS at 285.4mph!

The viper is iconic for it's time but the 98-02 LS1 TransAm and Camaro could also hit 12.8s in the 1/4. I know mine is a bit too new for the list and is considered a factory freak but my 2002 WS6 TransAm 6speed on factory size 275/40/17 (same size tires as the viper) cooper street tires ran consistent 12.8s while spinning badly. I've heard of quite a few other that did the same. Dragradials knocked that down to 12.6-12.5s. My 02 T/A was completely stock at the time with 33k miles on it, factory suspension and all. Just like it came off the show room floor. Full length ceramic coated hooker headers, a TSP 3" stainless steel y-pipe, and a 4" spintech fatback got the car into the high11s alone, which shocked everyone. Modifying the air intake and adding an slp lip, with a bunch of other free mods got the car to run 11.6s and on a real good day it would run 11.4s. I then added a mild shot which is actually a bit rich and it's been running 10.8s @127mph. It's now at 66k miles and still drives like new. From the outside all you can tell that it even gets any track time is the 315mm rear tires, even though I run 26x10.5R17 Mickey thompsons at the track. The viper just isn't impressive to me at all any more. It's cheaper to free up and build power than it is to buy it.

I've always loved the sensuous little Figaro since it debuted waay back then, with its tiny (1.0L) turbo engine and in-dash CD player. I scoured local magazine shops here in Honolulu to find the ultra rare car magazines that covered it -- most of which were from the U.K. I still have these original articles to this day....I believe the '90s will be remembered as one of the pinnacles in automobile history. Thanks so much for making this video!

Though it was never made avaible to the public, I kinda expected the Ford GT90 to make to this list. If it was completed with the specs it should have on paper, it would be even more extreme than the McLaren F1 and the Jaguar XJ220.
It was basically a Veyron, but envisioned in the 90's. hahah

I like the UK Top Gear. In which there was a race between Top Gear UK and Top Gear Australia. The Aussies used a Holden Maloo as it had a powerful V8. Richard Hammond who's turn it was to do the race had a Ford Transit. The Transit left the Maloo for dead. The thing is no one told Hammond there was a Jaguar XJ 220 engine and transmission fitted. So the look of shock on Hammond's face was great. The Aussies were not happy for some strange reason.

I actually had a Daihatsu Midget truck in HS back in the day, managed to find 1 in the states. It was a cool little truck. Especially after me and my friends took a vtech engine out of a Honda Prelude and swapped it out 😂😂

I loved the Viper from the beginning. Toyota should rename Sera and call it Paseo and sell it over here.I know it would be a big hit.

Pity they refused to sell the Isuzu VehiCROSS on the Australian market despite attracting a lot of attention at the Sydney & Melbourne Motor-Shows! Would've loved to have had the opportunity to buy one as now the 2nd-hand ones imported today can be only used for competition & can't be registered for the road!

From what i remember when the new Beetle was released. Everyone talked about how sluggish the performance was. It really didnt have a lot of power when first released. Later models included turbo chargers to give them more performance.

You really missed out not including the Autozam AZ-1. Probably a way more iconic 90s car than 75% of the cars on your list. But, if you do a part 2 video, maybe you will include it in that list. By the way Glen, you made several errors. Just a suggestion, but maybe before releasing your next car video you can get a few "car guys" to Critique it a little and help you clean up the mistakes. Like I said not fussing, just a suggestion is all!

The Toyota Sera is unbelievably cheap in South Africa, I've seen one sell for R65000 Rands/$4,500 USD. There are people who imported them here because they are right hand drive so there's no need to change anything on the car, infact most of the Japanese Domestic Cars can be imported as they are.

As a South African and a car guy , never seen one in SA . Just to ad , very expensive and complicated to import a vehicle into SA .

    • @Gontse
      @Gontse 5 ปีที่แล้ว

I've spotted one in Pretoria and I must say I didn't believe my eyes, and it was cheap for some reason. I even checked it twice to make sure it's a Toyota Sera because I didn't believe it.

Here's one for sale on OLX for R25 000, it was advertised as a Toyota Hilux.

I don't know if it's still for sale.
