As a mexican I can confirm I call limes lemons as well because we call them both lemons is Spanish. We just refer to them as the green lemon and yellow lemon. 🤭
It is jam, you changed and said " you need to make this grape jelly at home". You had it right before it's jam not jelly. You'd also be better off adding a lid on your blender. Different blenders have different power and you could have a HUGE MESS by not adding a lid. If you want a great change from grape, cinnamon apple jelly is easy and delicious. Smuckers in the 1970s had this jelly in restaurants but now many dont know how great it is. "Candy Apple Jelly": add 1 quart apple cider, 1 cup of red hots cinnamon candy, 5 cups sugar, 1 pkg pectin, boil everything but sugar, to full rolling boil then add sugar return to rolling boil for 1 minute. Remove from heat, pour into hot pint jars, put lids on, place upside down for 10 minutes, then right side up to cool. Lids will self seal when cooling and are now shelf stable. This tastes wonderful on raisin toast, English muffins and kids love it!
Makes me wonder what they call actual lemons then. Or are they both lemons? If they're both called lemons I wonder why they wouldn't say green lemon or yellow lemon
You should have put that blender mixture through a sieve. It would be smoother, and silkier to the palate, after removing the grape skins. Anyone copying your recipe, should taste the difference. Keeping the skins makes the mixture darker, and just gives the impression that there are more ingredients in the jam. You just cook it down enough to make it thicker. And you can use a food mill to remove skins and seeds in one shot. And 800 grams is 1 3/4 pounds by weight.
I think it’s the skin that contains the pectin to thicken it, though, eliminating the need to add a pkg if pectin. Some fruits contain their own Pectin.
Pectine is for laisy people that don't wanna hustle with traditional jam making or for industries to get more jam out of less fruit so we can over pay their diluted products...
That's a whole load of shredded grape skin floating around your home-made jam. The graphes are sweet so less sugar is needed. Hope this helps you because my belly is aching from laughing as you continue on your journey to learning from your amazing colleagues here. :)
@sarahsnow8746 I know she said grapes, but never heard them being "pitted". Seeded, yes. With this channel you must question everything. After all, she has described scallions as "green herbs" and "oregano" several times 🤣
You actually added 1 cup Of sugar to Naturs lowest sugar fruit … and then you added lemon to reduce the sweetness.????? You cld have just used pectin to Help set the grape 🍇 blend and saved yourself a gizzillion calories ??
OMG! Don't tell me SuperYummy either started a second channel or someone is trying to copycat. It's the same AI voice and a recipe I wouldn't feed a dog. 😂😂 Either way, job security for the "Everybody's so creative!" woman.
1: grape pits are disgustingly bitter and when blended up become gritty little bits. Don't blend the grapes, just mash them in the pot with the sugar next time, then strain the fruit. Or even better, use grapes with no pits. 2: you didn't specify any way to tell whether the jam had reached the setting point, like the shape of the bubbles or a specific temperature. Pectin and sugar form bonds around 220F. 3: You added the lemon juice at the end. Add it at the start. The acid of the lemon juice will help the jam set properly by facilitating pectin gelation. 4/10, apply yourself.
I don't know about anybody else. But grapes in my grocery store are almost $7 a pound. But a jar of Smuckers Grape Jelly 3.99 on sale And it comes in its own jar no pots no pants no dishes
It's cheaper even if you have home grown grapes. Just because one might have to wash dishes etc, it's preferred by some as appose to buying preserved jam made with more ingredients than just grapes n sugar.
Err. I swear I saw some stalks on the Grapes and how tf do you make "pitted grapes"? It's like watching one of those TV Singing Talent Shows and having to suffer through a looong song performed by the most tone deaf person on the planet. 😢😢😢
She gave 20 to 35 minutes cooking time, that's kind of a big gap. It was ready in 30 minutes, why not just say give it about 30 minutes. If those grapes are supposed to be pitted, maybe all those pieces we see aren't stems but skin? It should've been blended longer to get it smooth. With a lid on top.
No lemons or blender lids were harmed in the making of this video.
Blender lids are for pansies!!
@@SeniorKittySo are green lemons!
She doesn't know her limes from her lemons lol😂
Yup delicious
I can't get over the stem on one of the grapes....crunch crunch
You probably at a stem before and not know it
..omg my OCD😩 ..not the "crunch crunch" at th end😭
I lost it when I heard pitted grapes 🍇😁😂
Many grapes have seeds in them….especially purple grapes; theirs are large. They can get in the way of enjoying the fruit to the best way possible.
She’s saying that to make sure no one uses grapes with pits in them. Please explain what’s wrong with her saying to use pitted grapes. 🤔
Have you never heard of grapes with seeds😦

Ummm...I bet that's delicious. Thanks for the recipe
Wow finally a recipe that feels human
😂
As in, error? I worry about what’s going on in these videos, and the emphasis on the ends of the words worries me, too…😰
Limes are called lemons in different parts of the world
Makes me wonder what they call actual lemons then. Or are they both lemons? If they're both called lemons I wonder why they wouldn't say green lemon or yellow lemon
There are also green lemons.
they are not the same though
i thought...
What world is that? Jupiter???

Excellent recipe thank you
More green, small, lemons.
in my country, there are two kinds of lemon: the green and the yellow. The lime is different. it has thick peel and smaller and it has stronger smell.
That looks so good
Yum! Thanks for sharing👍
By any chance did you use pectin ?? Looks delicious & healthy. Thanks 😊 🍇🍇🍇🍇
Waw it's very nice 👍👍
YUMMY! I'm going to make this over the weekend ❤
I love you for this❤🌹🌹🌹😍
Half a pound of table sugar please
😅😅😂
ugh..the toxic refined sugar ruined the grapes 😞
I love sugar.
Easy peasy, looks good
That looks beautiful!
Liar…
😂
Clever way to get engagement. 😊
Very good home jelly made from scratch
Nice colour
Yummy 😋. A must try ❤
A million thanks 💝🌹
🤙🇬🇧
Whaaat! I love it too.😊😊
Delicious and healthy spread into bread
Yeah.. Grapes and sugar.. 😅
Ya real healthy, that is diabetes screaming to happen
Jam, amazing🙄
How long will this jam be good without any preservatives?
U can make a grape drink in the same way
It's too concentrated now just add some water to a little bit of it it's amazing
I have made my own jam... always thought I needed pectin... gonna try it this way😊
Pectine is for laisy people that don't wanna hustle with traditional jam making or for industries to get more jam out of less fruit so we can over pay their diluted products...
Is pectin the same as Knox unflavored gelatin? Because when I make my own apple jelly that's what I've always used.
@patriciadurio562 Gelatine is of animal origin, pectine is plant based. They're both used for densifying, but they don't give you same final result.
Delicious
Trying this today 8/31/24 with my pinot noir grapes I grow myself. 🤞🏻 will update.
How did it turn out?
great video btw
I usually do something like this to make fruit syrup for pancakes. I've never used grapes, so this may be interesting
Jam is jelly. Lemons are limes. Blenders don't need lids.
Do you not know about green lemons?
@@pocketramble9935 It's too small to be a lemon.
How do you store it and how long is it good for?
Yummy ❤❤❤
I think she’s trying to tell us that they love it!
Pitted grapes? Do you mean seedless? Cuz I'm not picking out grape seeds for this. Is it jam, or jelly? Seems very runny.
That's a whole load of shredded grape skin floating around your home-made jam. The graphes are sweet so less sugar is needed. Hope this helps you because my belly is aching from laughing as you continue on your journey to learning from your amazing colleagues here. :)
I was a little confused cause I was thinking that was definitely a lime but I forget that some people in different places call them lemons lmao
How long does it last expired? After made? 3 week?
That's a lime, not a lemon.
welcome to super yummy world buddy 😂
Pretty sure the video is translated with a voice over, so could be an error in translation or a different language convention. Or rage bait. Idk.
There are green lemons, it's just harvested early, or grown in a colder climate.
@@pocketramble9935 Limes are smaller than lemons.
Limes are simply unripe lemons. They grow on the same tree.
Beating grapes? Pitting grapes? Are ya sure you didn't mean cherries? 20 to 35 mins? A 15 min discrepancy?
🤔🤣
Yes, I think they look like cherries. When she started and said 'pitted grapes' I wondered how long it would take to do that! Isn't that lemon a lime?
They are grapes.. she should have said seedless grapes. But they are indeed grapes.
@sarahsnow8746 I know she said grapes, but never heard them being "pitted". Seeded, yes. With this channel you must question everything. After all, she has described scallions as "green herbs" and "oregano" several times 🤣
There's dark grapes too.
You so unlearned...grapes do have seeds too
So do you take the pulp out and just us the hull?
LOOK JUST MAKE IT - EVERYBODY LOVES IT OK!!!!!
So you made a grape compote... 🍇 🤔?
How long can we keep it ?
Cheat sheet lemon = lime in her world
Temperature boil to ?? 219 degrees
Nice grandma did the same thing 50 YEARS AGO
Cookin' up some grapes?
Oh lord I feel my stomach bubblin'
Is there a healthier alternative to sugar?
No sugar. Just cook it down, it may never get real thick but will be edible.
Grimace and McDonald's after seeing this 😬😬😬😬💀💀💀💀💀💀💀
G'day beautiful can you do that with any fruits to make yummy jam??🇦🇺🖐
“Lemon?” Seriously? Why would you trust a recipe from someone who doesn’t even know their basic citrus fruit identification?

Pitted but stems are ok
She put the grape vine and all in that blender 😭
Will it work with green grapes?
Yes, just blend it all together.
Half a lemon. That's a damn lime you just used.
Damned! 😮
Good to eat
everybody just LOVES IT! of course they will when being made to eat it at gunpoint 🫣😢😅

What kind of grapes have pits in them
Optional milk would be nice

That’s ALLOTTA SUGAR!!!
When making jams, jellies, etc., you need a lot of sugar.
yep, toxic
That was a lime, lady
Grapes are extremely sweet.... they don't need sugar....
Yes the do
I’ll just ask the family friend how they make their jam since she tends to do it as a hobby
I saw that stalk on the grape.

... actually.. I don't need to make this at home... 😂
1/2 a lime
look up green lemons
that lemon was hella green for a lemon
Nice & Yummy.
No egg today
😂
But, lots of sugar instead.
Sweetie that wasn't a lemon that was a lime. At the end she also said it was a "jelly". IJS....😂
There were so many stems XD

How do u pit a grape? Did u mean seedless?
Slice it with a knife and remove the seeds.
