    Inside this 3D printed case I've palced a few sensors and I could measure distance, length, see level, measure angles and RPMs. All is printed to the OLED display. It has rechargable battery and more...

    You could also combine the distance and angle measurement, using basic trigonometry, in order to calculate the height of something with just one measurement, just like laser rangefinders (which aren't that expensive, $30 for a 100 m one, which makes me wonder why aren't there any cheap modules with that range...)

    Andrei,
    This is a very neat project. There is a lot to learn from it. I like all the capabilities. This may be something I can answer by looking at the sketch and seeing for myself. But if the Sharp sensor is physically left out will that affect the microcontroller operation much (other than having a mode that doesn't work)? Thank you for taking the time to create and share this with the world.

    • @JonathanDeWitt1988
      @JonathanDeWitt1988 ปีที่แล้ว

      It looks like mode is controlled by the integer mode where it goes from 0 to 5. Mode = 0 appears to be for the sharp sensor.
      If mode is initialized to 1 instead of 0
      And if this section is changed from:
      if(mode > 5)
      {
      mode = 0;
      }
      To:
      if(mode > 5)
      {
      mode = 1;
      }
      That would I believe ignore the sharp sensor in actual operation. There would be some extra code in there for the sensor. But it wouldn't be used.

    Bro , Awesome Work !!! I Know u worked harder beyond my imagination for this Video. You are encouraging new beginners to try/learn something new which is very essential to become master, bcz u know every master was once a beginner. I just want to tell you that don't use "Could" everywhere. You need to focus little bit on your grammar. I know that english is not your first and second language. Anyway everyone will still understand. But if you reduce grammar mistake your video will look more professional. No doubt your videos are still Best and professional (99%). Just make them 100%. Man I really really appreciate you. When i started watching your video i was not interested in power electronics and after a year...today i have my own lab and i make final year projects for students. A big big credit goes to you brother. I want one thing from you "Don't Stop". ❤️

    Question!!!
    why do you have one the pins on the slide switch connected to 5v on arduino? shouldn't it be connected to Vin instead?
    Please could you clarify this because it is confusing me.

    • @ELECTRONOOBS
      @ELECTRONOOBS  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      No, the Vin pin is for when you have an input voltage of above 7V and the Arduino has a 5V voltage regulator. In this case the battery is 4.2V so it can be connected directly to 5v pin or vcc

    I know it is an old video but I am trying to make it and have a couple of questions. 1) In the schematics the sharp sensor is connected to A0 however in the code it is defined in A1 (#define sharp_in A1). 2) In the code the battery is defined in A0 (#define battery_in A0), but according to schematics that is where the sharp sensor is attached. 3) the video talks about a voltage divider in the battery, but there is nothing about that in the schematic, the only voltage divider shown in the Chema tics is in the sharp sensor.
