    Been wanting an Antelope interface for ages. Thanks for breaking down all of the features. I think this is the one. I especially love that I can set up 2 sets of monitors without a passive box.

    I sent mine back within a week due to the driver's crashing and saying failure can't justify that during a session ...I love the sound tho

    do discrete 4 and 8 difference themselves only in the number of ins? I have been told the quality of the 8 is a bit higher, if you could answer this that would be amazing, thanks in advance !

      I contacted Antelope Audio about this same question. They said both devices are identical in performance, with the Discrete 8 Pro having 4 additional inputs. Who knows!

    What about the reverb? I have the Discrete 8 SC and recording the reverb it´s not an easy thing to do. Does it appear as another plugin like in the Orion Matrix soft?

      @SonicScoop  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Lautaro, I believe this has been improved further. I asked the folks at Antelope, and they told me the following:
      "With the new D8pro is quite easier to record the reverb. It is not available as a separate effect in the synergy core library but rather its available in the first 32 channel monitor mixer. You can simply route the outputs of the mixer to you daw inputs and record the reverb this way."
      Hope that helps!

    Do you know if any of the single or double input interfaces by antelope audio has mute controls for inputs on the devices? This is my main complaint about my Apollo solo which I have to mute channels in the console app.

    • @SonicScoop
      @SonicScoop  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Good question. I believe those are software controlled here as well, but a great question for Antelope's support team if you want to verify.

    A comparison with the Dangerous Music D Box is inevitable.

    • @SonicScoop
      @SonicScoop  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      This is a bit different. The D Box doesn't have mic pres or DSP power like this. That's more of a monitor controller and summing box. This is more of an all-in-one interface.
      Closest competitors in features are probably the Apollos and Carbon interfaces, but Antelope probably has them beat on price, with very high quality and slightly different distinguishing features.
      Hope that helps!

    Everyone needs to put a solid PAUSE on buying anything Antelope right now. Marcel James (former 14 year engineer from Antelope Audio) is laying down the ugly hammer on all of the hidden software and hardware problems Antelope has been having over the years AND all of the negative social media comments they have been deleting. Marcel has one video out on TH-cam already. I have the Discrete 8 Synergy Core and for the last two years had multiple software issues and the LED panel text is now pixelated with dark orange and white text. I won't be buying an Antelope ever again.

      @@TzoHill I own an Antelope Discrete 8 Synergy Core and for the last two years had multiple software issues the LED panel text is now pixelated with dark orange and white text. I won't be buying an Antelope ever again. Great hardware and preamps don't do you any good if the drivers are constantly failing. I also own a Scarlett 18i20 3rd, and a MOTU UltraLite-mk5. Both are great and I haven't had a single issue driver-wise in Windows 11 with either one. I would only be concerned about preamp and conversion if I was super serious about vocals. For recording the best vocals, now you are talking about needing a Rupert Neve Shelford at $4,000.

      @@andynonimuss6298 interesting. Antelope seems like a defo no no then. Sounds like im better off going with a Focusrite or Motu.
