She is old school. Good luck trying to find a supervisor who had the depth of knowledge like this. Most practicing clinicians nowadays are activists, not actual therapists … unfortunate for all of us… wish there were more people like Nancy
She has a lot of compassion in regards to any disorder, which online psychologists do not have from what I see. They seem very bias to me and almost full of hatred
Roy, very well said at 16:00 . They certainly do, sir ! Thank you for this wonderful interview. There is so much wisdom here, the kind it takes only 30 years to recognize :)
Thank you so much for your interest. All of the readings discussed in this video are from Roy Barsness' book, "Core Competencies of Relational Psychoanalysis." Dr. McWilliams' chapter is Chapter Five. I hope this helps! 😊
Love to listen to Nancy McWilliams o e of the analysts i admire the most, such a huge impact in my practice

This was fun to see. Roy taught me relational therapy in grad school.
Great interview!!! So helpful as I prepare to enter the field.

Can you please cite the essay of Nancy’s that you’re discussing here? (If you say which essay it is, I missed it!) thanks!
