Not really escape, i think morraes just let it go. He wanted to switch and aim for the neck since he thinks it doesn't make eustaqio give up.

Gege was never the winner, don't get carried away by the noisy crowd who comes alive when he's able to throw some punches, the way I saw it, they were quite most of the time, telling u he lost narrowly.

You need to get some better judges he beat him standing up and even had more hits on the ground from his back then Morales did if your going off of takedowns then you might as well turn the sport into strictly wrestling. What a joke.

YES! Wrestling is pointless if you're not beating or submitting your opponents. A take down is like a jab to set up you're opponent. Why give it credit credit? Unless you get slam down it definitely shouldn't be take into account.

If you count take downs, then Moraes won. But the hand to hand combat/striking and defense, Eustaquio won the fight.
Neither fighter landed much of anything standing. Adriano didn't have a mark on his face.

That was the wrong call. You have to *take* it from the champion.
Geje was able to stand up from most of the takedowns, very quickly. He defended every submission attempt, even from ridiculous positions.
That, combined with his far superior striking, should have been enough to cement his win.
Regardless, this was one hell of a fight! Neither should walk away feeling inadequate. But, Moraes didn't take it. IMO.

On what I saw, Jeje took rounds 1,3,and 5. Moraes got on top on the 5th round but just got more damage...
