Yo, Atom Eve is great and I really don't want her Crooouuunched, but Rex Splode on the other hand can go Splaat! Oh and thanks for clarifying that joke with the garbage bag in the beginning of the episode, I totally missed that. But now I understand the way this show works and how little details (like Adam said) come back, like that detail with the title card and how is appears only when "Invincible" is first spoken and there's more added blood each time.
Robert Kirkman himself said that he sees this as a chance to tell the same story but better, so some twists and events are being shuffled around so that they happen earlier or later.

Also if I were one of those civilians I would got the hell outta that city after the FIRST round of portals opened, idk why the hell those people stayed around town, especially after it happened TWICE lmao
I've had this issue with superhero universes in general. Who the hell would want to live in Gotham or Metropolis? That's like somebody in the original Godzilla universe staying in Tokyo
I mean, the fact that the portals always opened on the same city square... okay, let's just keep that area evacuated until this gets resolved. People were going back to lay flowers for previous victims.
The first time they also encountered the super teens and developed countermeasures against them specifically, the second time Invincible had a chance to fight so that was a new variable they didn't prepare for, and the third time Omni-man showed up- also a new variable- but then spent years in their dimension wrecking their shit, proving that they never could have done anything to counter him even if they knew
Also, I'm sure that Cecil really cares A LOT that Omni Man cronched all the Guardians, but he HAS to keep it quiet 'cause he can't afford a confrontation with Nolan when they have no way of stopping him. There's no convenient weakness to kryptonite to help them deal with a rogue superhuman alien being, so Cecil needs to come up with a solution BEFORE accusing Nolan.
I get the feeling he knows or has an inkling, but is so afraid of the truth that he wants ANY other explanation than the truth. There’s a reason he’s keeping his eye on their family and ordering his partner to not even entertain the idea that Omni-man was the culprit. He’s afraid of getting on Omni-man’s hit list.

I love the details I catch while rewatching during reactions. At 8:10 Cecil starts talking and air out of his mouth condenses. At 8:13 he throws a look at that air that lasts only a few frames and knows exactly what it means and asks others to leave. Amazing detail.
I think Cecil knows or has suspicions about Omni-man but what can he do about it? "Aha as I though! It was YOU who single-handedly massacred our strongest hero group... turn yourself in or umm or ...fuck "

I just noticed the news report before the one about the guardians of the globe’s deaths is talking about a story from the comics that was cut from the show about Mark’s science teacher turning students and then later himself into bombs
In the comics I want to say it was Erik Larsen's the Savage Dragon who was investigating the Guardians murders, since they couldn't use the Savage Dragon they created Damien. I LOVE how Cecil sees his breath and that is how he knows Damien is around. 10:43 EVERYONE deserves that good of a wingman - guys and gals alike.
I'm really loving the side story with Jon Hamm's character. Also from episode 1 when Debbie (Sandra Oh) just shuts Invincible down after the "Make Me." line. The show is giving me so many scenes I've always wanted to see in comics that I never knew I wanted to see until they happen.
Awesome episode, love the worldbuilding and creativity! And it's so much fun coming back to see you guys, and hear Adam talk about differences between the show and the book. Man, I gotta read the thing after this is done.

Cecil looks eerily similar to the bad guy from Raiders of the Lost Ark that drank the wrong cup and aged real fast. He's got the long white hair and the sunken face, it's downright uncanny.
8:12 the foreshadowing is amazing considering every time that demon shows up it gets cold and you can see your breath which is how he found about the demon and told everyone to leave so he can confront it...
I love the fact that people get to find out that Nolan could have killed the heroes faster and without an issue, the only reason why he took hits was because he hesitated, if you remember he said “Do what has to be done,” but his son and wife made him hesitate so he took hits after making his resolve when he killed RR.
I like that Kirkman is getting to re-write or remix some moments from Invincible the same way he did with the Walking Dead TV show. Having different events happen earlier, or different people getting killed off or injured. In the Walking Dead comics, Tyreese gets the death that Hershel gets on TV -- and Rick never loses a hand on TV like he does in the books, which Kirkman says was a big regret of his in TWD comics. I'm excited to see how he plays with re-telling Invincible. But I also love how faithful it looks art-wise to the comics. it also keeps fans like me and Adam on our toes!
Its fun that the show can rearrange events and slightly change things from the comic. Yet a true fan like you appreciate that and like it. Your like wow that worked so well. So many people want a exact copy of the book to TV.

I've never got so into a show that I knew a little bit of. I loved tech jacket also written by kirkman so I felt like this would be a good show but damn was I wrong it's amazing. Cant wait to finish this reaction peaches

god... this is so good... the animation is point where it needs to be the setup is accelerated but relatively as good as the source material and the sountrack is killer...

Binged the first 3 episodes last night. So invested! Also loving what they do with the title card.
