Subaru Dealership Hitch/Wire Installation

While the dealership does retain the authority to deem what is recommended and not recommended for your precious Subaru, they are not always giving you the best quality products or installation methods.
Please know that we’ve seen MUCH worse hitch and wiring installations than what this video shows on Subarus before, but you shouldn’t have to experience loose wiring components from the dealership. There’s a perception out there that you will always get the best products and installation quality from a dealership and that just isn’t true.
Subaru is also the WORST vehicle brand when it comes to their service writers scaring you into agreeing to use their products and service departments. If a service writer tells you that adding aftermarket equipment to your car will automatically void your vehicle’s warranty, they are breaking the law. The Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act of 1975 (yes…that long ago) clearly established that a long time ago.
