Please do not defend her behavior because of her childhood or how people have treated her. It isn’t an excuse to be nasty toward others. How are people supposed to change and treat her differently if she is just being nasty instead of educating. People can’t assume and automatically know just by looking at her that she is and adult. Honestly what she needs is therapy to help her heal from her trauma. As nice of a guy Dan is, she isn’t ready for a relationship. She needs to deal with her trauma first.
Her childhood caused her damage to her brain.. brain cancer will effect more than just physical and motor skills but also social skills and literally everything else that requires your brain
Very ablest to tell her to get over her “trauma” she will never be able to get over being the size of a child and her brain not be effected by cancer, she’s has a bit of an attitude, lots of young women do, definitely doesn’t help when people like you act like you know her and what’s best for her.

She has to develop her sense of humour some people can pull off saying dry humoured comments to people not many can… it comes across as mean. When he tries to joke back she’s gets defensive. No matter what someone goes through no excuse to talk to people poorly. She said it’s a defence mechanism… she’ll attract all the wrong people in life if she keeps thinking this way… believe me! The parents need to stop babying her so much when a parent babeez their child like that it can effect their life from social skills to basic mundane functioning most take for granted.

@@omadjourney I’m Irish so I tend to have fairly thick skin when it comes to sense of humour I’ve dated someone from the U.S I’ve had mates from people there… yes their humour tends to be on the dry side… dry humour is different to being completely disrespectful and thinking it’s ok that you can say what you want. I had a mate like that thought they could speak to people however they want… now he’s at the stage where no one will date him! And he often gets slapped when he’s out in public. She thinks because she’s small and people thinks she’s a child she can get away with talking to people like shit… she’ll say something bad to the wrong person… it’ll always be the other persons fault no matter how they react because she has disability. I really like Dan. I don't think he's in it for the wrong intentions (if you know what I mean). But, Shauna REALLY has to get a grip on her little sassy, smart a** tone. Having a sense of humor is fantastic and being sassy can be cute or funny at the RIGHT times!! But, she seems to do it CONSTANTLY!! She has said before that her sassyness is a defense mechanism that she uses, which is okay if it's during situations that you DON'T want to be in. She's also said that she isn't going to change that for nobody. But, when you are trying to date someone and you actually LIKE the person, being cocky as hell might not be the right approach!! She said she likes Dan, they've even kissed. She may want to SERIOUSLY work on her tone when she talks to him because she comes off pretty bitchy! Even her dad said that she seems to be using her sassyness to show off in front of other people because when she doesn't know people are seeing/hearing her with Dan, she's as sweet as can be to him. I have to agree with many who say Dan is using the "circumstances" to further his online presense. I also noticed that he's either simping or really has no intentions of pursuing a serious relationship with Shauna. His body language, the constant smiling and explaining what he's thinking or doing almost as if he requires everyone's approval is a tell-all sign that he's really out of his element, is not settling in to a comfortable friendship with Shauna, and feels like he's under the microscope all of the time. Then, when he tries to prepare sushi for the family, OMG! I could tell the family doesn't really eat sushi and he fed it them anyway. I would have prepared something more traditional like a honey glazed salmon flank, steamed string beans, and garlic mashed potatos. LOL! Yeah, I'd leave the preparing of sushi to the experts at the restaruant. 😂

I honestly believe she was hoping to see a little jealousy from one or both of them. She gets so upset when people see her as young in the situations she puts herself in. Like at the bar... I dont believe Dan is as creepy as the majority of viewers think. I'm more inclined to think that he isn't completely sencere with his intentions. As much as I’d like to see Shauna happy, I don’t like that she sometimes speaks unkindly to people. Not sure why Dan allows himself to be subjected to her verbal abuse. He seems to be a nice guy who is really accepting of her. Dunno 🤷🏻♀️.
It's her weird way of testing to see if the guy has a hard enough shell to not get emotional about it, she is testing guy"s stoicism. It's also her normal self as she expresses attraction by light playful insults. Maybe to also see if the guy can turn her insult around into something funny, to se how he can alleviate something negative into a positive. Honestly i dont know🙃

Yo. The producers need to leave Tommy alone. Its obvious that Shauna friendzoned him and thats her choice. Yet this was just awkward and I feel terrible for him.

She is always so rude to everyone and yes she is handy capped but she says she wants to be treated as an adult. But adults would NEVER act like that and get away with it. She wants to be treated as an adult, she should be treated as such
Wearing make up makes her look age appropriate. Hopefully she continue to experiment with make up. If she wants to avoid the child comments maybe adding lipstick would help too. I had a baby face for a long time. I use to wear heavy make up to look older cuz older guys would hit on me cuz they thought I was 16. They didnt know I was 24 at the time cuz I wore red lipstick

I don’t think she’s trying to be “mean” I think she is just incredibly nervous....first dating a cute guy is tough enough when you are “normal” I couldn’t imagine doing it looking and sounding like a child. She is just trying to use some humor but it comes off as sass. I was overweight when I was teen dating and I was incredibly awkward because in trying to find conversation I was always thinking “is he really interested, is he looking at my fat, he can do better than me, etc” so you start throwing out some weird jokes to ease the tension. And it can come across as awkward. I feel sorry for her. I could not imagine being 23, feeling all those desires, and knowing you look and sound like a 9 year old child. That’s gotta be rough on her psyche.
Wanna know something so funny. Shauna’s parents-mainly mom- has no right to tell her that she can’t go across the country, counting the fact that she is 23; a grown adult in the USA. She can make her own decisions.

I see a lot of comments talking about her rudeness and passive aggression, I think a lot of that comes from how she gets treated and she has mentioned she has been in toxic relationships in the past. I can’t imagine how frustrating it is to be constantly treated like a child, even if it is inadvertent, especially in relationships. I’ve been in toxic relationships and I know it has had a similar effect on me, very self conscious and overly defensive. People I think look at her and see someone who is stuck up or rude but I see someone who has been hurt. I feel sorry for her

It’s not an excuse to be nasty or rude to someone, especially if they are being nice and trying to get to know you.
I have been in toxic abusive relationships, I had a toxic relationship with my father, I was even sexually assaulted and raped 3 times in my life, but I don’t take it out on others because of it. It isn’t an excuse to be nasty towards others.
I agree. You almost have to be aggressive in some way so you aren’t viewed as a child mentally because she is already viewed that way physically
