Hey Zach, I’m planning to get a 1440p ultrawide monitor for my Ryzen 5 7600X and RTX 4070 setup. Since ultrawide has more pixels than a standard monitor, I wanted to ask if my gaming PC can handle it well.
That annoyed tf outta me I searched 4-5 server providers, all were out of stock i needed to complete a limited time event in a game now it's gone. BIG SADGE 😔
Its not that its the fact that it wasnt made for THAT many people to be using it so they reached a max on how much people their servers can hold before ultimately crashing.
I use GeForce Now on my iPhone for certain turn-based games and single player action games and I use the backbone for a controller. It’s really good on WiFi with very little latency. Again using a backbone (which is a plugged in controller) and a decent WiFi connection.
I rmbr looking at it a while back, and thinking it doesn't look too bad just not for me. like 26 cad a month for their top line is not the worse considering, if we take into consideration the actual price if you built it, you'd have to use g-force now for over a decade to spend that much. Granted you never get to own any of it but 10 years of gaming on always modern hardware is not the worse.
Yea, for the price, it's a decent deal, but then you're facing pricing increases, you need good internet speed, can't do anything other than game, and are relevant on servers. If your ok with it, than go for it.
ive used geforce now on my xbox to play beamng drive, and it works pretty well. the 1 hour time limit can be bypassed by just closing out of it and going back in.
Been using geforce now for the past few days lowkey its been really good especially since my laptop is doo doo and not so modern and i can run any game with Max graphics only thing that gets in the way is if your internet is bad then your game starts to look bad and lag a lot
I was using it three years ago. I didnt have my gaming pc yet and i was playing fortnite on my 13 years old notebook (it was really good for how old it was) but it started crashing even tho i had 120 fps so i started playing on geforce now, i was waiting like 1,5 hour to play for 1 hour and again but it was the only solution😂
I used it to figure out if I should upgrade from my 1080ti to a 4080 super and save up money while I did. It provides a good experience for single player games.
If you're willing to deal with weird driver issues, they are a good value. Otherwise, go with 6600 or 6600xt, it's a safer option. If you want 4060/7600 level performance and don't mind occasional compatibility/driver issues, then B580 is amazing value. Intel GPUs also tend to struggle in older games.
actually, they're often very good value. - A310 & A380: 'quality' (well, it's allegedly better than Nvidia's?) video encoding; especially if picked up used - A580: better average performance than 6600 by a few percent; $20 cheaper - A750: similar average performance to the 6650XT/7600; $30-50 cheaper - A770: 16GB of VRAM for cheap AI inference - B570: honestly I can't even defend this. mid card. - B580: they do have their overhead issues at the moment, but they're overblown imo. if building new, just aim for a 7500F or equivalent and you'll get your full performance. 5600/12400F (esp. on D5) don't actually lose that much, either. yeah, anyways, 6700XT performance for $50 cheaper. what's not to love? ...well, their power draw (which is often much higher than their equivalents). but i hope you're not the one paying for that.
Honestly I used geforce now back when cyberpunk first launched so I could play it before my new pc was fully built it really helped me back in 2020 with a 8 year old pc
Im in LatAm and im starting to consider making muy own build with a 4070ti super o a 7900xtx or a GRE but (im planing on longterm pairing Green and Red)
Hi Zach ik your probably not going to see this but I'm a big fan of yours and I actually used to have the ultimate plan and it only recently ran out a couple of days ago and it's a good substitution if you don't have a pc,and if you buy the ultimate you have to go to settings and manually turn it on to 240 fps or it will cap you at 165.
I use the ultimate subscription and it's awesome.😊 I can afford a gaming pc with a 4080 but I did the math. That pc is gonna cost me $2,000+. At $20/month it will take me 8 years to spend $2,000 and my little $150 mini pc runs the app well. It is much cheaper to use the service instead of buying your own. As long as you have good internet the ping and latency is super low. The only downside I've found is I can't use my steam controller with it.
Game streaming services always seemed like a catch-22 to me. If you had enough money to get the sort of internet connection these services require, you could probably afford a gaming pc.
Nvidia busting that Cartman Land strategy. They can charge anything they want, and the fact they can deny access to service or have a “shortage” they can charge higher MSRP with each gen of hardware. Gotta keep that R&D budget on the rise.
Actually, my uncle uses the Nvidia GeForce Now feature! I believe he has a subscription for the middle tier. While this is a great alternative to play AAA story games with the settings maxed, GeForce Now is not very good for competitive FPS games.. which is exactly what we play together: Counter Strike. Nvidia still has to figure out the delay and latency. While in game, it will show players using GeForce now with a sub 10 ping score, in reality, it takes so long for the Nvidia and Steam servers to communicate and then send the information to my Uncle's laptop that he always seems to be about a second behind on everything, which in a competitive setting, is literally what makes or breaks a round. It's not his fault, he has very good internet connection and speed. For AAA games, just to try them out with full RTX on and all the bells and whistles, for 10$, it's a steal. But from more competitive games, I'd advise saving some money and getting even just a Ryzen 3600x with a RX580 system. To at least have the game run locally, not streamed.
Maybe it's because I already """purchased""" the FREE membership months ago, but I can still play everyday without any issue. Guess I got it before they ran out of free plans lmao
