You're right Ann it is a bit out of town but the facilities were really good and we were glad of a chance to stretch our legs. We loved the Isles of Scilly as you will see soon :)
Don't care if it's called a pie or pasty, we love them. Steve was shouting when you then mentioned lamb chops. He told me to unfollow you 🤣🤣🤣. We can only get goat, no lamb lol.
Haha we love them too (Helen especially)! Don't envy you only being able to get goat, not a fan. Next time we have lamb we'll do a cooking video so Steve can really see what he's missing hehe. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Was really hoping you'd stayed in "Queen Anne's battery" TBH !, how did you find the way in? we found it a bit of a battle due to seasoned members knowing the shallows etc & fishing boats speeding passed us lol. There was 2 Huge Naval ships in the Bay which was a great sight. The down side of Queen Anne's is we had to cross the lock bridge's path to enter the town & this closed at 10.30 & the alternative way was a Looooong way round lol, we where forced into the Marina due to bad weather & so had 3 1/2 nights/days there. The upside was, there was a Plymouth music festival on up on the Hoe, (1,000 yds away) so we had, Bryan Adams, Tom Jones, Gabrielle, Sting, Lighting Seeds, Madness & Blondie to listen too on board :). look forward to the updates guys XX
We found the approach pretty straight forward to be honest but we were the only boat entering at the time, nobody else to contend with! The Mayflower is definitely a good walk out of town but we enjoyed stretching our legs and the weather was good. You cant beat the facilities in the Mayflower though, easily our best yet. The music festival was a great bonus, would have loved sitting on board listening to that with a glass of wine and all for free :)
im glad i had finished eating my dinner before you showed your injured finger looks painfull. what is the hole on deck on the bow is that the chain locker, waves over the bow ??
Hi Spud, yes lesson learnt....secure the locker lid before getting in there! Its healed well though. Yes that's the chain locker, water can get out of the locker if we have do have waves breaking over the bow so nothing to worry about.
Looks like you had a great sail. We were in Mayflower once. Bit out of town. We had a good stay in Sutton harbour. Isles of scilly are fantastic.
