- Hundreds of people took part in a massive search for the mythical Loch Ness Monster this weekend. It was the biggest search for the legendary creature that supposedly makes its home in a Scottish lake in 50 years. Ian Lee reports.

@@adamrushfordBecause Nessie based 100% off of eye-witness reports and zero evidence. You are just as likely to find a megalodon as you are a dinosaur that has somehow survived, in a lake, for millions of years without an ecosystem to support it.

The lake has been scanned so many times already. Sonar is not new. Drones do not add very much to a lake search.
Loch Ness is probably the most explored lake on the face of the Earth.

Yes, he admitted it was a fake picture but the media still publishes it as real picture of the Loch Ness Monster.
People should leave the lake alone for ecological reasons. The idea that some sort of dinosaur lives in it is a marketing a tourism ploy to drive the local economic engine. However, the lake itself and surrounding habitat suffers from trampling and other disturbances.

My grandfather caused more false sightings of the Loch Ness monster than probably any other individual. It was what he did when travelling through the loch in the steam powered fishing boat on which he was an engineer.

Ain't no such thing, it's just a way to get tourist to spend their cash. Besides that how does anyone understand the way they talk? I understand about every 4th or 5th words coming out of their mouths. That's why I won't watch any movies where there is a Scot speaking or mumbling as I have heard it called.

it's never done anything remotely monstrous as far as we know and yet we refer to it as a monster.
Monstrous is attributed to size, not actions, just like Monster Drinks.
You cannot prove something does not exist...there may be one lurking around a corner somewhere in the universe. If there is one on Earth. Is it not still just an animal? If you want a boogie monster, you won't find one.
I just wish they would stop using that same photo since 1950... not saying there might not be something in our waters but using a photo from a camera from the 1950's is stupid... they dont have any better photo's after what 73 years? Remember kids if you say "it cant exist" that you can only dive down so far... people still dying just trying to see the Titanic
