    At 31.00, that is the loudest G Shock alarm I have ever heard! Fascinating video, remember, Apollo 13 was initially thought of as a failure, but it wasn't!

      Hahahahahaha. I customized the sound to match a school bell 🤪.
      I truly appreciate your optimism. I still have the other half of the video. It’s when I completely break down the watch down to the plastic base everything was assembled to. I didn’t see it as relevant but it’s for sure interesting.

    Is the sticky buttons a common problem with the model or is it after using the watch a certain way? Or is it with a specific model year watches?

    Sir, Great video, exactly what I was hoping for. A few days ago I decided to give my old mud master a clean and change the battery's. Unfortunately I was pretty shocked that 3 of the buttons were very sticky and slow, I assume that the shaft will be gunked up and will need cleaning and new grease applied. Would I be correct in assuming that IPA (Isopropenol) would be the correct solution to use? and what solution do you clean the inside of the glass with? Thank you in advance I have subscribed.

      First off, thanks for subscribing. Isopropyl alcohol is your best friend. I would wash it with hand soap and water while using a toothbrush if it is gunky. Followed by the alcohol to help evaporate the water. Should be a quick process. You can skip the former if it isn’t too dirty. After it’s dry a small touch of grease and you’re set. I would say the main component in giving it the nice springing action wood be to swap out the springs. Play around with the size of the sitting until you get it right. Remember two things. Use only the end size of the spring and don’t go too long as it can launch the other side of the button assembly while testing it. Finally be wearing of the little e clips. They tend to fly during installation. You won’t be able to find a replacement. Their size is unique and only Casio uses them. (I haven’t opened other watches with pushers to see the assembly)
      Let’s just say this was a costly experiment.
      As for the glass you have two options. Alcohol as you said or Rodico to help remove fine particles. If you’re meticulous enough, no need for the latter.

    The same happened to me. My crown broke but I don't know if it's inside or not. I don't know what to do. I don't know whether to send it to technical service, but you say they won't fix it. I love the watch, I've had it for 4 years and I love it. I'm pretty sad after watching your video. Your video is pretty good. Any recommendation? Thank you

    Could you guess about the diameter and length of the larger spring. It seems about 2.5mm x 5mm

    • @Bswatches
      @Bswatches  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Drew. Are you talking about the OEM spring that comes on the light button or the ones fabricated from a ball pen spring? Also, note that the button assembly is forgiving in the diameter of the spring being used.

      Awe man! I’m sorry to hear that. So check this out. I live in the Middle East but I travel home to the states every summer. I called the repair shop in California and they wanted to charge 264 for the module +49 for the crown (f that) I spoke to a repair shop in Dubai and the total cost is 130usd for both. If you have a way to get it directly from Japan or if you have a dealership that won’t rip you off; otherwise buy a new watch. They go for 290-320usd brand new where I live.

      Hey! Once I get my part in, I’ll ask the dealer if they got an extra one. My friend is traveling there mid October. The crown and module will run you around 140-160 usd. I’ll confirm once I receive mine. FYI I’ve been waiting since June

      I have the same issue, broken the crown inside. I have found the original crown in Germany costs about 100 Euros, waiting to see if a good watchmaker can replace it!

      Dear god that must’ve been an a terrible experience sorry to hear that. Full digital g shocks are the way to go but unfortunately, they are becoming harder to find.
      Your authorized dealer should have them. They will say they can’t remove the stem. It so happens that the AD service center in Kuwait knows how to remove the broken stem. The ones in the California say there’s no way to do it and the cost is near 350 usd for a module and crown

      Check this out. After taking apart the watch and attempting to get a replacement module. I was informed that there is a was to remove the broken pin from the module. The shop obviously did not disclose how, but they assured me it can be done without any damages; it was too late for me :(.
      Best of luck. FYI ordering it internationally might be cheaper than from the United States.
