- The Maven is possibly the most challenging End Game Boss in Path of Exile. In this quick guide I go through all of the mechanics and teach you how to defeat the Maven and get your final Watchstone! This fight was recorded in The Forbidden Sanctum League (PoE 3.20) and so is fully up to date.

@@Altek2k so i spent 3 writs and gave up and ended up bought a carry. like i know how to do everything, and i know if i keep trying i'll get it in maybe 10 writs, but it felt kind of silly to just try proving you could do it when each one of these cost as much as a carry. i got to the last phase without dying thanks to your guide, but the beam and the memory game at the same time was too much for me. i guess i could've placed the degens closer to the center.

I hate that they have the mapping people stuck behind a ridiculous boss. I just want all t16 maps...
I had the same conversion in discord a few weeks back. So many people probably can't reach 4 voidstones. I bet the majority of people don't get more than 2. Thanks for watching!
@@Altek2k there is so much one can do end game, but to me, having access to all t16 maps isn't the best payout to fight something that takes so long to get to, and takes numerous tries to fully understand whats actually happening
I’m stuck on 2. Just got a lucky drop and made a LS raider and gonna try this fight today. Hopefully it goes better

first Time trying killing the Maven got to the final phase but killed by the floortoo many times , now that i kknow the actual mechanic to it ill try tomorrow again, ive been playing the game for a month now its been a blast

There's nothing dangerous about the Maven. It's the arena that's dangerous. GGG really thought about all the best bullshit they could come up with. I absolutely dread this battle and can't wait to get this over with so I can unlock my voidstone and never have to fight Maven ever again.

The orbs which create the ground effect seem to stop randomly wherever they like making this fight almost purely RNG.
I hate this fight with a passion and some leagues don't bother running it. I hate fights where most of it is dealing with the arena. Thanks for watching and sharing!

how do you complete the last phase? is it time gated? i was just running in circles and ended up missing portals cause i kept failing the memory game. no clue how it was suipposed to finish
In the last phase you just have to kill her.
First try i failed at the second brain. The beams kept hitting me even tho i was nowhere near them and the first time it summoned kitava, the s cond time it summoned that one boss that jas a tracking degen beam...
The bosses she spawns cand be so problematic.,
log out doesnt work anymore? It starts memory game over and over (even if you die instead of logging out) therefore making it impossible to complete
I think that changed last league. If you let it kill you it will not start again immediataly on re-entry.
I always, always lose this fight. I can't beat her.
I've found her to be very hard for melee builds because of the arena. You also need a strong character just so you don't take forever to kill her. Best of luck in the future and thanks for watching!

@@Altek2k yesh i myself i gone from full league play everyday to play first month then burn out. Played for years. I still watch alot of poe videos when I stop playing. But for sure relese this again as a 3.21 guide
The memory game is what screws me over every time. I'm terrible at stuff like that, and if the fight takes too long you need to deal with that and all the other crap she's throwing at you. And there's no strategy other than "stand on the first triangle that blinks and try to remember the rest". I finally killed her for the first time back in 3.22. My strat since then is very simple, only fight her when I get my build to do a shit ton of damage so I can guarantee a kill even if I lose 5 portals.

thanks for guide man! got my first maven kill just now. brain game in last phase killed me 3 times before i thought "last portal, f*** it i kill this bitch now :D we killed each other then :D got no loot, but got voidstone from kirac. count that as a win ;)

No it only explodes if you fail the memory game. I mispoke.
@@Altek2kNo worries, I understand more now. The circle still explodes if you win the memory game, it just explodes in place where it was ; it doesn't grow out and explode the entire arena. No worries!!

@Altek2k it's designed to kill the majority of builds. Idk what damage type it is but could be mixed. Maybe a hyper damage conversion build since how the reduction works it exponentially reduces the damage taken. Would probably be pretty expensive. Hell maybe even divine flesh or whatever the one is with ele as chaos. I forget the exact name.
Main issue is fitting damage into all of that tankyness xD
There's just way too much on the screen in this fight. Act bosses, 3 different kinds of balls coming from everywhere, floor degens and beams that one shot you coming from off screen. Without a balls out DPS summoner build I'm not sure I'll be able to get it.
I have failed this fight so many times with characters that have to stand still to cast, being able to move around freely and focus on the arena is so important on this fight and in the Sirius fight. I tend to roll specific toons to kill these bosses and minions and brands are my top picks. That's if I can be bothered because I do hate the fight and the last watchstone isn't that essential unless you really enjoy a T1 - 4 map. I hate the fight the arena boss design in both of these fights. Thanks for sharing and for watching!

@@Altek2k maybe I missed from your video, but during spawning boss stage I thought you need kill spawned unique bosses I forgot about big brain in the middle. Also I didn’t know you have grace period after entering the map

edit: all stages were quite manageable except the last one it is just so hard to dodge whilst killing him

@@Altek2k just bought a 40 div bow that brought my damage up from 216 tooltip Lightning arrow to 301 maybe that will fix it but i doubt it if iam too stupid for the mechanics yet :D

@@Altek2k I started playing PoE about 5-6 weeks ago and I really appreciate older players making guides. This video was very good and straight to the point.
I always play games on hardest difficulty and I have no problems with hard fights. However, I'm not doing another 100 maps just to get another attempt at her. One attempt was enough for me lol.
My DPS was more than enough, the issue was I couldn't differentiate between the projectiles and my map was literally full of DOT ice puddles. I got her to the first brain phase by literally spamming potions while sitting in puddles and doing damage (my build has very good flask regen). But then it was too hard to move around to avoid the beams and position myself close to the rotating rings platform to avoid the AOE one shot, while also fighting the summoned bosses.
PoE has a huge problem, they gatekeep bosses behind endless amount for RNG map farming. I want to fight bosses, not farm maps. If the Maven was playable after 10 maps or so, then I would try again. But as things stand, I think I'm moving on to other games.

And yet people enjoy this game. The fights and monsters in this game are so over the top that it's not enjoyable at all. Smh
I find most of the bosses fairly easy once I have a decent character. This is definately not one of the easy ones and I like to avoid it.

as a new player i hate this fight tried it in ssf never again i hate how annoying it is to farm boss inviters in this game.
