I have to agree....I have been thinking about getting a RR, but after seeing this, it's clear to me where to spend my hard earned cash. I think I could have one of these and never have to replace it. Plus, he was haulin ass up that mountain. Never saw ANY Land Rover video doing that at that speed.

Now everybody should understand why it has Live axles, ladder chasis and diff lockers in both axles, and transfer box.
Great Video, but it´s fascinating me every time how little you know about driving offroad.
Shure as I am from Austria I hve to love the G Class (Remember that we have invented it), But I would apreciate a way more minimized Version of that G 300.

So, I just saw the new RR, and some of the videos Land Rover put out regarding it's "performance", I personally think it looks like a GM car. I think it's lost what flair it had. And there is a video of a guy driving a cut out version of the car, and he is barely driving that thing over 3 mph. AND IT WAS ON A GROOMED COURSE!! The RR has gone the way of the Escalade. The Gwagen is it for the kind of excursion you are thinking of. Document it for the rest of us and post on TH-cam!

I dunno, if I think about an offroad vehicle, it has to be rude, you know, not very luxurious..I mean it should be a bad boy, you know, the friend who doesn't dress well, the guy who eats like an animal..this is too luxurious but it's cool anyway

Why does MB lower themselves by tuning their G class to suit rap stars and millionaires who have no idea how to drive off road. Pathetic! They should all be built like the PUR 300. I love my '97 G320 because its old school and can handle anything I throw at it and it doesn't look like a truck owned by a dick head, it looks like a car owed by an 4x4 enthusiast!
+zack worrell Some like to use it on road, some use it off road. The G professional is made for off road, while the AMG for on road. Most people who buy this vehicle, would never go off road. They buy it cause it looks cool. Most people who do go off road with it, they do it not because they have to (farmers, people living in remote places), but for hobby. So basically whichever type of owner you are, you're doing it for posing.
+zack worrell I view them as range rovers, but more off-road orientated. Even the AMG g classes are better off road than any land rover. I have a G55, and it offers off road ability not far off the professional variant, but with enough comfort to use as an everyday car
Only an idiot would take this amazing car offroading.
what's the point of offroading anyway. You're damaging nature, your car and of course yourself.
