Because her intelligence is misunderstood. Most of society are plugged-in sheep, though no fault of their own; but they just follow the crowd WITHOUT question. Madonna has ALWAYS stood out on her own, and followed her OWN path. And she actually ENCOURAGES others, and brings out the BEST in people, and those around her, even if they don't actually recognise that at the time. I think that is actually her soul's journey for this planet; bringing out the BEST in those around her, and PUSHING them to reach their highest potentials. But most people probably misunderstood that in her presence. It will most likely only be much later on, that people will begin to understand what a positive impact Madonna had on their lives with regards to living their fullest potentials. I actually think that she is a very loving individual, and I am sure that eventually, in the future, she is going to be studied for YEARS, and talked about with regards to people living their BEST creative lives. She pushes those limits and those boundaries, for herself, and others. There are not that many people on this planet like that. I respect Madonna. She has earned her place in the history books.

I have never ever commented on a youtube video. I have thought of Madonna as appearing mean. But this artistic framework in which a revolution of thought is suggested has me rethinking her completely, and thinking about my own responsibility to.....love

I think this video has a powerful message and people need to learn how to read between the lines.
Despite the irony that surrounds the video, the message is clear: We are tired, we are frightened, we are alone but WE ARE FREE. Use that freedom
You know what's funny? If this video had been released last year, or today, it would make headlines and receive universal praise for being so pertinent and thought-provoking. But instead, when Madonna released this in late 2013, people outside the LGBT community totally dismissed it. They ignored it even when it was projected on the side of prominent buildings in big cities around the world, for millions to see. They thought, oh, that's just Madonna being a drama queen, trying to get some more album sales. Well, now the reality she warned us of has come out of the shadows and is slapping us all across the face each and every day. But how much credit does she receive for recognizing the trend and doing something meaningful to try to stop it? None, because people weren't paying attention until now, when it's too late.
And now it's 2021, and Republicans killed half a million people by mocking basic pandemic safety. And they tore refugee kids out of their parents' hands, and some of those kids died. And they gassed civil rights protestors.
And they held a conference on a stage built exactly like a white supremacist symbol.
And they're passing laws to protect themselves from ever being voted out again.
This is just so good seriously people wake up before it's to late! Thank you Madonna for this project :) I'm with you!

I don’t know if she was ahead of her time for this project because as she said, she got involved in this because of all the things that she was noticing around the entire world, from Russia to Colombia, from the USA to South Africa. What I am sure of is that she shed a light into an issue that is beyond palpable TODAY.
What is happening with OUR world? How do we get these injustices to stop? How do we get people to chant “FUCK LABELS”?

Today is actually the first time I watched this. I had seen clips of it a couple of years ago but I didn't think I wanted to see it, it looked so violent. Madonna is an amazing and inspiring person, where does she find these dancers??? She has been through so much herself, dragged through the mud. I myself do not understand why so many people love to hate her and say sooo many mean things about her. In a lot of ways, I relate to her, and I feel like, if I had to go through some of the shit she's been through, I'd be very angry and bitchy myself!!! Madonna is a survivor and in some ways, I am too. She gets nothing but love from me!!!

When I saw video for Dark Ballet this one came back to my mind... They are very similar although shes criticizing government here, while in Ballet its the church leaders. Both are real Masterpieces, she really breaks boundaries of literally everything, and yet apart from her pop music, she didn't get much attention for her activist work, simply because homophobia is still so high. she is my greatest idol for many years, although I never saw her live. And dancers that were featured here (from Mdna tour) are one of her hottest.... I like to say : I was straight, but Madonna cured me ;D

It's 2024 now, this film is 10 years with us. Did the world change to the better? Are we more tolerant? Do we accept people as they are? Do we care more? Do we love more?
That anyone could ever call Madonna 'talentless' or 'irrelevant' was always a fucking joke to me, but when she does things like this and 'I'm Going To Tell You A Secret', it just beggars belief and completely defies my understanding ... I get that there are people who don't like her music, think she is too over-the-top, shamelessly provocative and all that, and I suppose I can understand a lot of that, but to suggest that she is not a truly great artist who does EVERYTHING IN HER POWER to make the world change, to stand up and take notice of itself and its' continuing hypocrisy and intolerance, has no merit ... Madonna is a rebel and a renegade -and she will be remembered for a century to come as a revolutionary ... the world as we know it would be an entirely different place if she had never existed -thank God we don't live in that world ...
