I love what Steve Lawson says about the Holy Spirit, the Paraclete counselling us and ministering to us and how he refers back to scripture time and time again allowing God’s word to work in our hearts and change us into the likeness of the Lord Jesus.
It was a phenomenal answer because it was steeped in scripture?
I have been faithful for 35 years I only trust one man my creator God I see him he answer prayers I prayed for my children looks God answered
I thank God for these faithful, trusted men of God and Ligonier Ministries.
The complete reformatted version of “me” began after I had converted to Roman Catholicism in 2010 and then left them on December 25, 2017 at 10:30 am Mass when I got up to read as a Lector and was completely terrified of something unknown- I just wanted to run out of the church right then, except it would have been too strange to do. So I decided to force myself to read the Scripture, but my mouth was so dry from terror I could hardly speak . . . GOD certainly got my attention then with His message that something was terribly wrong! So I left. And I had studied and believed their catechism for years! I’m sure this was an unusual case, but it is my testimony as in Revelation 12:11.

@Albert Denlar so a Chinese Christian can just as quickly put Chinese colors on a cross because of their nationality?

When I started looking for a local church and found one with a pastor/teacher who delivered such a sermon that I felt transformed, I wanted to rush up and say something so he felt appreciated and acknowledged that his work was bearing fruit. Unfortunately, I have yet to learn how to do this “ right” because sincerity is not enough. The person who was being complemented had suspicions of my intentions or agenda and I always, and I do mean ALL WAYS, felt rejection and that horrible feeling that there was no way I could be loved, respected, trusted as just plain meaning what I said without ALREADY being part of a tight knit group that was not open to “newcomers” aka “outsiders”. Sorry if I sound cynical-it just is the case in my experience.
My question is this: If one holds that the creeds and confessions are all 100% true, but at the same time has some kind of false doctrine in one’s heart that one either ignorantly or knowingly obeys or adheres to, does that nullify salvation? I ask this because I know people who can’t read or write are nevertheless saved by GOD’s sovereignty; besides I believe going to heaven does not involve Q&A testing like this discussion (which I so much enjoyed- thank you all!) which is my conception of how the Kingdom operates. Any answer or criticism/critique would be much appreciated.
BTW, The LORD said it was okay if I mix things up a little. Everyone needs to get to the place where they know nothing and rely 100% on The Creator of All for Everything.

You don't think God knows who I am oh I have made a billion mistakes but I will never blame I'm one with God

God knows we sin it's what we do with it do you ask him for forgiveness or you don't aknowledge him you must always go to God and ask him for forgiveness God understand we are human
I think we have to accept the fact that there a a lot of things that happened in the Bible 'once' and will only ever have happened once and things that happened commonly and will happen commonly and thats the way it is.

What if a person leaves a church because of poor teaching and a very worldly church and have no Godly church to go to ?
Been there before myself and it is a big problem today. I have heard some like from G3 conference and others that the most important aspect of a believers life is being invested in a local congregation of believers and to be willing to move to another location to be part of one. I would suggest that is a thought worth entertaining.
Aside from that continue to devote yourself to the Word all the more while you search out a church around you knowing what are the essential things and what you can overlook. I will pray the Lord gets you in one and i have no doubt that since it is His will for you to be part of one He will get you too one.
What if you experience God as the Psalmist who wrote Psalm 88 experienced God?
God vs Godless. If God is, there is a believe system which help to grow intellect more and more. If there is no God nobody can stopp me doing guilty work. It depends upon yourself what you need.

I am a 73 years old Ghanaian and I am surprised how very little spiritual knowledge and understanding Americans have about God and his Salvation the Man Jesus of Nazareth. Americans know very little about and understand very little about Redemptive History, which is Law, Faith and Spirit. Redemptive History is a story of two races, the Family from the Garden of Eden and the Family from outside the Garden of Eden period.

In the Old Testament God called men and choose them but in the New Testament he calls men by the gospel and ask men to choose the problem with this panel they mixing Old Testament theology into New Testament I think they need to study dispensational theology they getting mixed up and putting faith in Calvin and Luther and Agustin who were not fully enlightened in biblical doctrine

Over and over, same mistake. Logos does not mean “Bible”. It is the fundamental order of existence. The Truth, The Love. The laws of physics, the moral law. Difficult to translate. Greek philosophers spent centuries trying to figure out the relationship between the logos and God. Only when Christ said it and when John wrote his book in Greek was the concept ever introduced to the human race that the Logos *is* God. Even now it is hard to fathom that God *is* Love. But the concept had never been introduced before Christ. Christ *is* The Logos, the Truth, Love, and God. United with the Father, He is the very Logos of being itself. So no “The Word” is not “The Bible”. The Bible is the inerrant, Spirit-breathed *words* of God Himself. But The Word is the second person of the Trinity. That is what saves. Every time you hear any of these guys say “The Word” they are missing the boat and think it is merely the scripture. Only through the Christ Logos can we connect with God. The Bible is critically important, but is no replacement for The Truth (The Logos), which is a Divine person. The Truth is a person, not a book. Love itself is a person, is God. Christ Consciousness. The great I Am. To know *God* better.. fast, pray, read scripture and Christian books, and sit with the I Am (“Be still and know that I am” which is the only meditation really described in the Bible). 0:23 (Btw Greek philosophers were profoundly impressed with this new truth).
