Horrible to think 😢 Glad for you 💙 Large scale animal cruelty will always coexist with humans unfortunately, & maddeningly. So thankful to volunteers, fosterer's, rescuers and the like trying to maintain a balance of kindness, empathy & for taking on the breeders or ex-'owners' responsibility.
This bought a tear to my eye. I had an English pointer called Zippy (boy) who lived for a good 14 years and didn't have the bad life she obviously had but bought back many memories just hearing the name mentioned as he passed 20 years ago but this video struck a chord. Keep up the good work.
It’s possible that Zippy was a one person dog that hadn’t been exposed to other dogs since her siblings. My daughter has a dog that acted this way when being approached by my son’s friend’s husky. She is good and loving to me, but not any one else really. You just never know what life they’ve lived. I just know she’ll be fine with a little decompression and gentleness. ❤️❤️
Thanks for having the patience that many people do not have. Many people give up and don't realize that it takes time for adopted animals to adapt to a totally new life and routine. Many experience cruelty and negligence and are fearful of humans.
Thank you for helping Zippy. A little patience and care given to a rescue will help a pup to feel safe and someone will be rewarded with a very happy and loving pet.
It’s good to see people who have the patience and understanding that dogs who are rescued need extra help and patience. They just won’t preform for you the minute you bring them home because they have been through experiences that shape their behavior differently. It doesn’t mean they will not make good pets. My experience is they make wonderful pets. I think it is very special when these dogs break through their anxiety and bond with their new people. It is inspirational the things these dogs go through and still able to trust in another person.
You both are so wonderful helping dogs to be adopted. It is a team effort with your own dogs. I enjoy seeing you all going through the process. Best Susanne from Vermont.
Your interaction with Zippy is fabulous. Then the other dogs are so loving towards her (I expected this especially from your beautiful retriever). What a great video showing your patience and understanding of this beautiful dog xx
I have binges watched all your videos after finding your account ... you guys deserve so much for the wonderful work you do for these dogs, i hope you get masses of support online and can do this full time you are both amazing x
1 week is far too soon. Zippy will need months & I hope this gorgeous little dog with a huge character is given the time she needs with these beautiful people & dogs :).
Aww that was such an amazing story and I’m glad the adoptive couple chose her and knew what to expect with the shyness and everything. They knew their stuff for sure and it was nice to see the follow up videos they sent as well. ❤️❤️
Unless I'm mistaken, I think I heard that she is from Ukraine. She may have been exposed to gunfire, bombs and missile attacks, and was left behind during an evacuation. Ive seen videos of animal rescue going on in Ukraine in areas that had been evacuated. The owner may have loved her. There were separations that were tragically unavoidable. This would be even more gut-renching than a rescue from cruelty.
I really like you Two, taking care of these dogs. Thank you. I can’t find out, where you are living. In England❓ Fantastic, that she was adopted by this ideal couple. A happy end. Thank you from Australia
I adopted two dog from romania, so far unadoptable because of beeing extremly fearfull ,it took 8 and 4 month to be able to touch them. I gave them all the time they needed. They turned into best dogs ever. So thanks for your patience, giving her second chance
❤ God bless you guys. God bless you. You guys lose like a happy happy couple happy family can I stay with you guys? I’d be like grandma. I know that I love people but alone now and I need a nice family. Let you guys.
Thank you so much for what you do for these dogs. Can't thank you enough. In a very uncertain world you are doing good work, please keep going. I know of course you both will :)
Im from Ukraine. War is really hard and here are a lot of pets who lost their homes and family. Thank you so much for this love you gave Zippy. It's only one from thousends poor dogs who survived a lot, but it's already such a big step and support you gave to Ukrainian pets. Thank you so much guys, we all hope war will end soon and all pets will find their new homes
Thank you for adopting her. First let her in one room, adjust, make that room bigger and bigger, day by day. Give herone safe spot, under a table or somewhere. Give her time to adjust, dont let people adopt her after 7 days, give her time. These dogs have a lot of trauma. Give her only to people who have a lot of dog experience so she can learn to trust again.
Lovely little puppy and another happy ending! You guys are amazing! Thanks for all the rescues - and for sharing them with us❤ P.S. Did Maggie get a forever home? I want back to the last video with her but nothing was said about what happened to her. Thanks❤

"We've never had a rescue as sketchy as Zippy". HOLDS LUNGING DOBERMAN WITHIN STRIKE DISTANCE ! ! ! This guy's genius never fails to appear in every video. 😂😢
Reminds me of my dog, though a little less agile and my dog barks around people, both excitement and aggression is through barking but it all sounds the same.
My sister and brother in law adopted a longhair dachshund girl dog like that. She would only let those two hoomans come around her. Didn’t growl just really really shy.
Small Ukrainian cutie. I also have a dog from street in Ukraine and when other dogs come too close, she is barking and throwing a tantrum. When we were living in Ukraine, we had 4 strays and we took them when evacuating of course! I love strays..
my neighbors dog was like that till i introduced her to my aussie...he adjusts his approach according to the other dog. if the other dog wants to play he will if the other dog wants to lay down he will too.. He is a very well behaved dog but he figures out what the other dog needs and does it... the neighbors dog trusts my aussie and now she will go for walks with me and the aussie but my other 2 dogs are not as calm they scare her..they are loud and overbearing..lol
Can’t imagine how bad Zippys previous life must’ve been 😔
We live nearby and would like to help, is that possible?
Horrible to think 😢 Glad for you 💙

6:21 Brilliant
Her name could also be zoomy.... lam glad that she learned to trust people again... thanks for the rescue
I'm going through this now its been 5 months
I can imagine her being really fast chasing a ball,
Some creatures are extremely sensitive and she may have lost a wonderful home. She could be angry and resisting all the new changes in her life.😢
