    Great video. Just did this on a 13 cts wagon. Watched your video 2 times before my install. Very helpful. Thank you

      Is your install working as expected 8 months later?

    Sorry about the odd camera angle… I had a phone holder mounted to the passenger head rest that would only sit one way :/

    Does anyone know if i can install a 2009 Cadillac CTS rising screen and radio/hvac unit to a 2011 Cadillac CTS that has slightly different buttons and a fixed screen meaning it doesnt rise??

    Thanks for the two videos! Mine went in ok but the factory backup camera does not turn on while in Android Auto (no matter what combo of settings I pick)...possibly because there is NOT a Navtool firmware choice of manual-tranny CTS...so maybe the Navtool does not know that I'm in reverse. Also, the Navtool screen doesn't shutoff at ignition off or at door opening....

    I have no plan to use the cheap microphone, can I still use my car’s microphone for phone calls?

      I’m wanting to think it works, but I don’t know 100%. You can always turning the car on and try It before tucking everything away and seeing if it works without.

    Hey thanks for posting this video. I’m planning on buying the interface for just mirroring and using Bluetooth apt. for sound. I don’t need CarPlay if I can just mirror my iPhone 7. I’m I in the correct thinking on this or am I going to need the interface with car play. It’s like a $200 dollar difference. Let me know what you think. Thanks

      You can play music through the interface without turning it on, but the sound volume really decreases. But if I’m correct, the system works best with the interface. There are cheaper alternatives if you don’t want the CarPlay

    Did your package come with a remote? We have everything plugged in correctly as my husband has years of experience installing radios and such. We cannot get ours to turn on and no cord sent to connect the IR blaster.

      On mine, you raise the screen, plug the cord into the phone, and select auxiliary, and then you press almost on the a.m. button on the screen, but not quite…kind of 1/4” below center of it. Like, a few millimeters below the bottom line of the am square. It shows ‘CarPlay’ on the phone. I didn’t get a remote to run it because everything is going through the phone, or the screen which essentially becomes a touchscreen for the phone. Either one works for me. For example, I can go to Pandora on my phone and select a station or I can do it from the touchscreen.

    I'm looking at this for my truck and a Jeep but reading all the very negative BBB reviews it scares me. How were your dealings with them so far?

    • @badkelly
      @badkelly  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It wasn’t that easy to get ahold of them. I had tried to message and email with no response, but then I talked to them on text once when I was asking a general question a few months ago and then they actually answered when I called for the link to program the interface. I read they were very helpful when you could get ahold of them...getting ahold of them was the challenge.

    Thanks for the video. It looks like you've had this installed for several months. Is everything working as it should? I'm looking at a couple of options for my CTS and there are very few reviews for any of the different options available. What few there are generally are not good. Thanks in advance

      It was definitely an improvement. I finally had full use of the touchscreen in being able to use Maps, Music, even running a split screen between the two. I could hear text messages, make calls, and Waze would even work in the background if I went back to the regular screen. The only downside is it cut the volume down by 2/3… I guess going through the module increases the resistance and drops the performance a little
