One of the nice things about OwlTech habs, beyond them looking cool, is that they have a lot of small functional features like that. E.g. the hydroponics lab lets you pull various vegetables for cooking. There is also an Aurora dispenser in another lab; maybe a bad idea with Gary around. The spots make use of the vending machine script, so you'll have to pay a few credits to get the items.
The big thing i was going for with Let's work were habs that are for working they will have way for thing todo in then then ship living as those are build around well just being on the ship place to eat lay your head so these habs will have a lot less things to do in them.
I can't lie. If there was an actual Elder Scroll hanging in the library or the office habs, I'd never remove it from my ship. Ever. Would even be better if Skyrim was made into a story book or tabletop game for Cors to play with
The original habs mod is really nice, I did a dedicated Owl Tech habs only ship build about a month ago. After watching into the video up to the Capt quarters and the library, those first two habs gave me the idea to make a Nautilus themed spaceship build idea.
Agree. Some of the best habs out there. But would be nice if you could start with the buttons for the creatures in the 'off' position so to speak, and spawn them after the build is complete.
I think something that could be and would be unique with the library if you could put books in it. But also have Cora interact with the library for reading books. If she could remove a book, read it and put it back it would fulfill a need of her asking you often for books to read. But you really have to have mod authors that really think about adding unique intractable features like that. As well the crew as well. That said, cool looking mod.
There is a Displays mod, if you search it on the in-game mods. It lets you load the bookcase and (I believe) that Cora will still recognize it as a case and read from it.
Owl Tech habs are so feature dense it's quite special to have them. I try and keep a midsize ship and the density of features lets me pack a lot into a little.
Thanks the @SgtOwl for the mod and @Crimson for the commentary. I just rebuilt a Scarab II using Owl’s habs (both free and paid) and I was impressed with the results.
This is definitely on my short list. I like to give new mods a few weeks to get stable or updated. It's a pain to update since I play cross-platform. But this is gorgeous.
picking up on the doors comments - place your own doors mod is a huge win for ship layouts. the engine places them only for cockpits + bays. the rest you add manually. this should be a base game feature.
Has anyone used the zsw - airlocks mod it allows you to do space walks literally Just make sure you read the description carefully and have a boost pack And it works on Xbox and I am sure pc it also works perfectly with the star stations mod and a few others
I'm sucker for his logo tho cz my character basically belongs to three factions.. freestar rangers, crimson fleet and ryujin.. so the captain hab it's perfect for him.. ik the combined logos represent owl tech but i like it
Owl tech habs are are a staple in my load order why would you not want better looking habs that have functionality and dont tell Owl but they are my favorite ;)
Just a random question but has anyone had issues where you jump pack vanish from you characters and you notice that your game will keep crashing over and over
@CrimsonFlyboy nope, the only mods I have involving them are full armour set mods that's I e used for ages. Like the mark 1 camo mod for example, but I lose the jump pack and the game slowly degrades to the point where I try and land or load into somewhere and it freezes and crashes
@@CrimsonFlyboy i haven't no, I stared all over again due to my first character bugging out with mods not knowing the best load order but I think I've figured it out with doing more manual saves myself
The thing with starfield is that the longer your game goes, the slowly it will start to unravel, and you'll see weird bugs. The only fix is going through unity or starting a new game
Oh wow. There must have been an update. I'm having issues with the Studies hab. A wall won't disappear. Been looking to see if this is mod issue or my own issue.

@CrimsonFlyboy, on the Rev 8 Hanger, the foreside attachment points don't allow you to connect anything. You can't put a window or a weapon mount.
This is definitely on my short list. I like to give new mods a few weeks to get stable or updated. It's a pain to update since I play cross-platform. But this is gorgeous.
I think it's safe to install now, as the mod is effectively done. I believe Owl had started working on their next thing

I absolutely love Owl Tech’s working habs. I do a lot of Jurassic Park/Lost World inspired builds

Have you been through unity recently. Sounds like your game needs to be reset by starting fresh

Uninstall and reinstall the mod to make sure you have the latest version
