Ha! Well, that’s why I called it show and tell! But there are a few pieces still out there...you just have to WANT to hunt! Makes it a project! It really is beautiful. Fun to watch the hands spin around after switching from chrono to regular mode. I might need to buy some batteries!
I bought mine about a year ago, and I’m still crazy about it. I don’t want to wear any of my others. I replaced the strap right away with a Barton top grain navy blue strap with white stitching. Really nice. Cant understand why it’s less available. It’s the best one.
I’m REALLY diggin’ it so far. I’ll be strap shopping for leather as well, but the Hadley-Roma Kevlar style strap that I showed in the video works really well. An Artem Sailcloth would look sweet on this! Yeah, I can’t believe this wasn’t a popular model for them. Loaded with features/complications, and great looks! May have been too big for some?
@@WatchWitt The Barton strap is quick release and is very flexible. Don’t know if you have those, but this is my first one. I don’t think I’ll ever go back. You can take it off and on your watch in seconds to clean your watch or change the color. I suppose people never learned what a great watch it is and those smart watches seem to be taking over. Those are just another digital watch to me regardless of what you paid for it.
Yeah, quick release are nice. The only bummer is when you want to put a traditional strap on! Sooner or later we’ll probably be all quick release…even bracelets are coming with them now. I DO like enjoying traditional straps with fat sturdy spring bars, though.
@@WatchWitt Not seeing more weakness in the spring bar yet, but the leather may be weaker since it has a slot for the quick release. When it does break, and all my straps eventually do, it will sure be a breeze to put another quick release on. I already have an extra caramel strap waiting. Have you found these to break sooner?
Out of all my watches it is definitely one of my favorite watches. For the complications it has, I would have paid thousands of dollars but being quartz I get to pay a fraction of the cost 👍🏽
Bought this for only SGD$185. First saw it in 2016 in Singapore, cannot forget about it. The next year I went back to the shop, it is still there. Bought it. Never regretted it. The battery is still not changed yet.
Love it! I paid just about $5 more than you. This is such a killer watch. Great price for the complications. Mine is the most accurate in my collection too, at +0.0 spd for over 579 days!!!
@@WatchWitt I only adjusted the watch 3 or 4 weeks ago, after letting it run since 2017. Only ran faster by about 2 minutes. Check out SPC256P1, it is a rose/gold version with sapphire crystal. More expensive though.
...and I miss having luminescence, but can't really expect it with this style of watch. Yes, wears a little larger than 40mm, because it's 44mm! Ha! But it's all dial and very little bezel, so that always looks bigger too.
Really cool when you go back to time mode after using the chrono I would be using the chronograph just to see the hands flash around on the dial on the reset, great find!
I love this watch! What a great movement, too. It's been running over 3 years now and accuracy is still at +/- 0.0 seconds per day....dead on accurate!
Glad you enjoyed it! I would love to review a Zeppelin, but it's hard to take requests like that, unless the manufacturer can send me a loaner for review.
The watch in this video has 22mm lug width. Do you have a different version of this piece? I’ve seen some dial variations, but figured they were all the same case.
It was made in 1999, before the turn of the millennium. If it was made in 2009, there should be a full stop before the start of the serial number, e.g .931663 which means it was made in 2009, but yours is just the number, no full stop, so there's a high possibility it was made in 1999.
I don't think these came out until 2019. I know the movement was released in the 1990's, though. The Seiko serial number date identification has been tough for me to decipher...seems like they keep changing the character nomenclature.
I believe so, but there are pockets of new old stock that you can still find. Prices on eBay are more of a premium now compared to when I purchased this one.
So this is just you teasing us then haha! Brilliant looking watch, reminds me of the Longines Master

@@dgm2006 No, I haven’t experienced them failing sooner. Was just noting that I like beefy spring bars!
Beautiful piece! Very classic looking. Good job my friend.
Thanks, Joe! Yes, it’s a stunner, right? Very elegant, classy look and feel, and incredible functionality for a relatively low price in Seiko world!
Ooo la la that’s a beautiful watch Witt! Great find pal! Lots of functionality on that one! Love a good chronograph and this one is awesome!
This one’s a Seiko powerhouse, right?!
Had my eye on this for a while, its a beautiful watch
Yeah, me too. The eBay retailer had about 70, and their stock dwindled down to TWO pieces left...I had to jump on it! Absolute beaut!
Yes to all your final questions! Love it,
Dream watch for me would be brietling navitimer, that’s a busy watch too
I thought you would like this one!

Definitely a hidden gem in the Seiko lineup!

That is a great looking watch.
Yes, it’s beautiful isn’t it?! I can’t believe it isn’t more popular. Amazing Seiko value for all the complications and stunning dial.
Bought this awhile back, only drawbacks no sapphire and wore bigger than the 40mm size indicates

Hi
Thanks for spontaneous elaboration. Can you please review zeppelin watch??
Glad you enjoyed it! I would love to review a Zeppelin, but it's hard to take requests like that, unless the manufacturer can send me a loaner for review.
Is it battery powered watch?
Yes, battery powered quartz movement 7T86.
How much does it cost ?..and where you bought it ?
I bought it for $144 from an eBay retailer. Not sure it's still available, but they're making an updated version that has more of a silver dial.
The lug width is actualy 20mm

@@WatchWitt can you believe that every single watch of Seiko or citizen that I'm eying are discontinued i can't believe this
Well, that's the problem for us when manufacturers make SO many models! But I also find fun in "stalking" a hard to find watch in the used market.
If only it was smaller
I hear you! But this one's perfect for my wrist...most dress (type) watches are too small for me, so I was happy to find this in a larger size.
