You are reading too much into it. You will make yourself ill. She was right to pull him up if she she thought he had no chance. He made a bad mistake, jumped the next well, hopefully his confidence is back for another day
I don’t know if anyone noticed the Haydock racing yesterday. Nicky Richards great training, getting a big prize with an Ex Irish chaser who has been off track 8 months. Fabulous training but Nicky doesn’t pretend about his training skills, he is solely nh orientated. The reason I mention him is this muppet that is training Max is a good flat trainer but a horrible jumps trainer. I saw the video where it gave it the Delboy about Max really attacking the fences and it could be the making of him. Pity as this could have been a 140 horse with a genuine nh trainer.
@@JackBurton-w7x thanks for watching and sharing your opinion. I agree that the Chasing route needs to revisited at some point. I also agree he has the potential of being much better than his current mark. Very much a case of getting his form back to where it should be for his next run and then make a very clear plan going forward. People must not forget that Roger has trained Max for some time and I had success last year. Trainer is confident it was fitness last time. Happy Christmas 🎅
@ yes happy Christmas to you too. I know he has trained the horse for several seasons and it’s your money, your choice. I also realize he had a tendon injury. However he seems regressive at this point and I think it might be extremely difficult to get a win from him again given the present regime. He certainly is not a natural chaser, Joseph O’Brien put out a very diminutive mare yesterday, useful on flat and hurdles. She lugged top weight and looked an absolute natural, Max looks like he is a careful type who will take the cautious approach especially if he clouts one. I think it might be exceptionally difficult to get a win chasing with him.
@ sure, I hear you. Roger had always felt he was a chasing in the making but Lilly thinks he is a hurdler. I just would like to see much more schooling over fences on grass to make a more informed decision. He is a very big boy who does not have tactical speed for the end of hurdle races. I do except his form last time was a good stone below his best but he did appear to need it. Next time is key. Too early to call either way. All the best
@ I am not a trainer but I suppose we pick things up over the years of owning horses. I learnt a massive amount from Micky Hammond when I had a horse with him. Great guy shares knowledge and really open about talking. Gonna see what the next race brings you and hopefully it’s good news.
