It's incredible how many people don't understand this. Give way to any traffic on the roundabout thats it. Watch for traffic coming from your left or right depending if you are a LHD or RHD country respectively. Outside lanes for 1st and 2nd exits inside lanes for 3rd and 4th unless signed otherwise.
@@thomasgray5406 What??? I live in Spain and you always join roundabout by giving a way to any traffic on the roundabout, actually, you have a line before entering a roundabout that is saying you to give a way Of course mostly nobody will say anything to you if you decide to give a way to somebody entering roundabout, but its incorrect
they key here is to look 3sides for second before you dive in roundabout, also in everything we do, first we need couarge and then lots of practise, then everythings turn normal or habit
There is a couple of round abouts on a side street in the intersection where some people just turn like it is not there, and not go around it. The streets where these are are to skinny and any vehicle bigger than a sandan vehicle will go into the opposite lane when going around or have to back up. So not all round abouts are the same.
Oh I thought left turns just exited from the left lane....then again I'm from America so I haven't actually studied or read the road rules seriously yet lol.
Yes, I also often see Americans not signalling when leaving the roundabout. You should always signal right (in a right-hand traffic country) after the last entrance to the roundabout before your exit so that people entering the roundabout know that you're leaving it and don't have to wait for you.
This video was made by Sécurité Routière, a French government agency. Rules here only apply to France. Rules can change depending on which country you drive in
use right signal to indicate that you’re going to exit either 1st or 2nd and drive on the outer space of roundabout. use left signal to indicate that you’re going to exit 3rd or gonna make u-turn and use the inside space. is this correct?
If ur gonna drive in Aruba don't even think abt renting a car if u don't know how to use a roundabout bc here we have more then 82 roundabouts with bumps, and it's kinda shocking how people don't even know how to use a roundabout
What if the guy on the outside lane keeps going past an exit and you change lanes. This happens all the time. they honk at me for cutting them off while I’m exiting. That’s why I hate roundabouts.
Just dont get the left lane. If you have an idiot that stays in right lane youll get tboned or slide swiped. And people never use the yeild signs they just fly right through. I hate roundsbouts.
@@Isla_pm sometimes you go on the inner lane and when you want to leave the roundabout, there's a car to your right on the outer lane. And behind the car there's many more. This always makes me nervous. What do I do in this situation? Do I have to yield and wait for a clear passage or do they have to yield and let me pass? Busy roundabouts are scary, normal ones are fun
@@duomi1314 ik this was a year ago lol but have you found an answer? My guess is to just keep going around the roundabout to avoid clogging up traffic, then try again, in most scenarios there should be enough space to change lanes, if you use your indicator properly, other drivers in the outer lane can give you more space
@@duomi1314 first lane have priority over the second, second have priority over third and so on. If you move for the first or second exit (in case is positioned ahead) you should stay on first lane.. other than first or second exit you use other lanes. As a mention you can use second lane as well for the second exit but if you go for an exit that is positioned somewhere in the left side you don t use first lane. Regarding your specific question, you can wait if you don t block the traffic or you can do a circle until you get space. There may be different situations in which data mai change like being only 2 exits, one in the right side and the second to left.. there if you go to the second exit you go on the second lane. Sorry for my poor english Edit: If the roundabout has 2 lanes and the exit 2 lanes you don t need to wait or anything, you use the second lane of the exit…
But on many roundabouts in EU there aren't any arrows painted on the road and it's just two lanes like in this video, and the video shows how you're supposed to drive in that case.
1.Turn on the signal lights in the direction you want to turn 2.When you just past the exit which comes before your exit, turn on the signal lights in the direction of the lane you are leaving.

Unfortunately, your advice would be incorrect in Spain where, bizarrely, you must give way to traffic joining the roundabout.
This helped me summarize it in my head easily enough. Thanks G.

Left lane:left and back(U turn)

The last postion is not apply in uae, because the rules in roundabout here you are not allowed to change lane, you must exit on the same lane.when
Lovely
I can’t explain my frustration at how many UK drivers can’t negotiate roundabouts correctly, it’s not that difficult
This is literally the easiest thing I don’t know why are people complaining
Its because they have low iq...😮
Its easy but there are so many stupid drivers tho.
In real life someone will close you if you go inside line.

Thats so cool and informative, What app did you use to make animations?
Americans who are not from that random town in Indiana with the most roundabaouts, watch this ☝️
If someone miss 1sr exit and do a 360 then go to first. Will it be wrong?
Funny, then in reality after exam, u will find that there is other strange roads and roundabouts 😅
It would be helpful to see what happens when there are other vehicles as well :)
The problem with inside line is: Someone will eventually close you.
Muy bueno ❤

Nice 😊
I like that but where live don't have it !
I just straddle both lanes coming up to the roundabout and use all the space.
There should not be iner track because it is confusing and if you don't pay atention you can crash with the vehical from outher track.
The second car must enter through the inner rail to exit on the second exit.

To be honest, taking the inner circle has the danger of some asshole not letting you out of it when you need to.
Spain rules is like this but you have to be careful before you exit round about
So you always have to turn right I guess and Yield for other people

Whats the point in having two lanes in the roundabout then if you’re just gonna change lanes anyway
because if someone is turning right and someone is turning left they don't have to use the same lane which would make the roundabout more busy
