- It seems like #HHN27 just ended yesterday, but we are back at Universal Studios Orlando for opening night of #HHN28. This year looks to be the best possible year of Halloween Horror Nights. We take you through the scare zones in the daylight and give some house reviews and feedback on the event. More to come in future videos!
Watch the show! Wear the shirt! Shirts are available through Spreadshirt. Check them out here: viewfromthechea...

Also thanks for being a genuine person. We really enjoyed the video we like seeing it from a regular person's point of view as opposed to media events. It gives you more of a feel for the atmosphere.
My favorite time of the year! When these videos start coming out! Huge fan!
Revenge of Chucky, Killer Klowns, and Vamp 85 looks really awesome this year as scare zones. Chucky looks great for 30 years. ;)
Was not disappointed at all with the Killer Klownz scare zone!!! Looking forward to more HHN 28!!!
Well, let me give you a true from the cheap seat perspective. As an annual passholder we were allowed early entry. We were funneled to the back of the park to Dead exposure and slaughter cinema. The line for SC was already 50 minutes so we chose dead exposure. It was well named because 25 minutes with no cover in the most oppressive heat you could imagine led many of us to near death from exposure.
The nice part was that, as you can see from the video, there were not a lot of people so we made our way to Blumhouse. We still had exclusive access to the house so wait was not bad. Got through it ok and left to see the Killer Klown zone. It was still light, but still I loved this zone.
Next stop was to get a bite to eat and wait for the sun to start to go down. We ate, sun started to go down, and out we go. Holy crap! There was a mob of people like you would find in a star trek episode (you know the one). Lines for houses were averaging 90 minutes. Scare zones were almost unrecognizable due to the sea of humanity, sweating, and bumping into each other hoping in vain to find a cool stop to recover.
We then made the mistake of going into the HHN tribute store. I have seen less aggressive action in a roller derby match. Once inside you were stuck until your fellow cattle managed to push itself though to the outside. It kind of reminded me of a who concert I went to long ago when I was almost crushed by a mob trying to get out into the vending area between shows.
I could tell you about the street shows, however I could not get close enough to tell you much. I think one stage had some hobos dancing to Thriller and another had a talking doll that I think caused it to thunder somehow. I assume it was a doll because it seemed to be in a colorful package.
So, to sum it up. Insanely hot, frighteningly crowded and other than that a great time.
I went to HHNs in 2012 .. it was amazing ... I agree with the lines ...what can you do .....this years looks lit .....I bought a walking dead t shirt that year .... really like the tshirts this year ....looked online :)
my first horror nights was 2007 carnival of carnage. went on a saturday and it was SOLD OUT, couldn’t get tickets at all and it wasn’t nearly as crowded as you see it now. even 2008, 2009 wasnt as bad. its sad how its changed over the years. and they keep taking aways perks for pass holders as well. i can honestly say they may be my last horror nights :(
17:17 Gotta love Jess' unbridled and emotion filled review of Seeds of Extinction "It Sucked!!"
paul08211973 made me laugh so hard lol
paul08211973 she’s just such a little ray of sunshine Lol
Mary wearing a Bloody Mary shirt is everything! 😂🖤
Lo puedes traducir en español no entiendo lo que dice
The intro had me in stitches 😂😂😂 the shrimp doing the RVD action was subtle but hysterical.
I have to say, the news lady(and camera man) had me laughing. Loving vamp 85!
I loved the For Whom the Bell Tolls opening Perfect song for hhn
Woo, thanks Kyle! You do a great job of showing off what you can see walking around
Halloween hoore nights looks great the dancers at the 1985 stage was great and great music Chucky's show and scare zone was neat
Vamp '85 performers were amazing. Thanks for including that.
Awesome. That big baby w/ the tattoo is pretty daggum creepy! Can't wait to see more!
Thanks for the awesome comprehensive coverage! I’d literally watch a 6 hour live stream of this since I can’t be at the event
I enjoy watching your videos exspecially during Halloween keep them coming.
I'm a little embarrassed to admit how often I've checked in this morning/afternoon to see if you posted your video - now, off to watch!
I love like five minutes from this right now
Please tell me your also going to do howl-o-scream
As always you guys are my favorite channel!!! Love the honest opinions!!!
Always enjoy your videos and scare zones with some maiden hell yeah!
I've been waiting all year for this video. The hype is real
Duuude! in one word "amazing" love it bro thanks for the tour
His killer clown shirt is everything
24:13 to 24:30 what is the song please.
okayyrey it’s catch me I’m falling by Real Life
Thank you so much i've been looking for it for days.
okayyrey yeah no prob I have been too lol just look up vamp 85 playlist on Spotify
man I should've thought of that thanks again
I have been waiting all day for the HHN videos!!! Thank you! Your videos make it look not that scary to a scaredy cat like me 😂😂😂
There’s a lot of milder content this year!
ViewFromTheCheapSeats Yep I think it's the 80s themes that is making it like that. Very nostalgic. I liked the years when they had the Purge and the Icons.
maybe you need another run of seeds of extinction . the guest reviews are going nuts over this house . great video btw (:
Someone please save the chef
Not a chef he worked for his ice cream truck with his bro and these clowns grew uhhh yeah watch the movie
I love the news lady and camera man they were a cute part of vamp 85
Hell yeah! Iron Maiden 3D maze for next year! 🤘
That would be the greatest maze of all time.
Lmao vamp 85 looks like they went to party city got a bunch of 80s costumes and threw some fake blood on them.
V
Well the 80’s were kind of corny, so I’m sure that’s what they were going for!
Bear And Boots the scare actors in this zone were very fun and animated though. the party atmosphere and occasional unexpected scare made Vamp 85 my favorite this year
Wooooo!!! Lots of fun had and to be had!!!! Great vid!
The chucky curse movie I had to close my eyes XD
Awesome! Thank you so much for these videos
Im loving the chucky part
Unfortunately, I won't be able to attend HHN this year, so I'm looking forward to these videos to see what Universal came up with.
I'm going to Orlando from the UK next month, I'm wondering if it will be worth the money to go or not because of the long time waits
Shannon Spooner I go every year but to the one in Hollywood and I’ll say this, it’s best to go on a Sunday because the lines won’t be that long. Last year I was able to get through everything before the park even closed and got to get onto rides as well! It’s worth going I feel like you’d love the experience especially if it’s your first time going.
I think you should splurge and get a fastpast they’re 80 dollars but the lines are soooo much shorter. When I went to the Jurassic Park Ride the normal wait time was 2 hours and and the fast past wait time was 30 minutes.
Kyle, I freaking love you dude. Everytime you talk about Trick r Treat you bring up the mini maze We did at Midsummer Scream! Thank you so much for talking about it! Much love from Murder House Productions!
Mini mazebis awesome
Francisco Marrujo Oh no! I forgot to link to that video. I’ll throw a link in that spot when I get back home tonight. I genuinely loved your house! You guys rule!
You rule dude! Thanks to you I get to experience Orlando!
Killer klowns omg😁 I wish I was there.
Same here
Fun video, you guys really covered a lot of ground!
Strong praise for Slaughter Sinema and Carnival Graveyard - with all of the focus on the IP's this year, it's interesting that two original houses are in "best ever" contention!
Looking forward to hearing what you think about Stranger Things (saw a walk through and the production values are tremendous, even if the scares are not) and Poltergeist. Have a great time!
Jim Grote I think there’s less attention to ips, half the haunted houses are original this year
Mystical Hippo I wasn't talking so much about the number of IP vs. original houses, so I apologize for not being clearer about it. What I meant was that - for good or for bad - this is the "Stranger Things HHN": the marketing, the merchandise, the special food & drink options, they're built primarily around the show, with even the other IP's playing second fiddle. You want a t-shirt with Michael Myers on it? Here, he's on this one...being dwarfed by Eleven and a demogorgon.
I think it's safe to say that the event's overall 80's theme was developed after Universal was able to land ST, rather than the other way around. And, to be honest, that makes sense: it's a hugely popular series. The house looks great from what I've seen of it (the set design is too-notch) even if it may not look to be the scariest, but I'd expect Universal to pull out all the stops for their signature maze.
So, to hear Kyle praise 2 of the original mazes so highly was pretty cool - they not only weren't treated as throwaways, they apparently stand on their own really well. I think that's awesome.
2 weeks and I'm there, can't wait!!
The countdown is on!
I love this video, how you filmed, you filmed as though I was there, how I would see it standing there, I really got to see what the event and atmosphere was like. You were far away enough away from things to see it as a whole, you were not filming too closely. You didn't only show your face the whole time, not getting the environment on film, like some people on here, which I appreciate, thank you for your content.
Thank you so much for the incredibly kind comment.
I wish I could go but my parents like 'No!! It's To Expansive!!!'
But Mooooommmmm!!!!!! Daaaaaaaddd!!!!! What if The Boogeyman (Michael Myers) Is There!?!?!?!?!?!?
So, I’m in the Halloween house I did see you. You called me out by where I was. But tonight I found out that Friday was the biggest opening night in the history of horror nights. So that probably explains the chaos. Looking forward to everyone’s coverage of the event due to I will not really get to experience the event a lot this year.
Oh! So I’ve been able to experience slaughter house and seeds of extinction. Slaughter is a lot of fun to go through but not scary. Seeds on the other hand... well I though the idea of planets scaring you was lame but.. Boy was I wrong scares were on point and fantastic house love the set design in both houses for that matter. I’m going to try and see all of them before the event ends.
This looks way better than the one in Hollywood
When "Shoot to Thrill" came on I was expecting someone in an Iron Man suit to walk up on stage
Kyle what large building that looks kind of like a hotel is in back of Rip Ride Rockit I would say somewhere where the Blue Man Group is?
Idk. Hard Rock Cafe?
It's at 1:29 it might be the Fallon thing but take a look if somebody knows just let me know thanks
@@pokeyporter6444 Yeah, that's Fallon
2:30 female began with Lucille??
My friend just went to hollywood one and said it wasn’t gory enough which is really disappointing to say the least
3:02 when someone requested Free bird
Tips for killer klowns from outer space, tell them that they are your favorite vampires just be quiet and walk on the sidewalk or just be quiet and don’t ever run they chase you also don’t look weak like don’t hide that makes u a target
Do they even still do the dancing vampires or zombies that dance to the song Beautiful People??????
How did you post the night footage if hhn opened today?
It opened YESTERDAY
What im more shocked is the editing time!! DAMN
Good video, really enjoyed watching this.
Notifications on point today!
Im too poor to ever go somewhere like this, so thank you very much for posting great videos like this so I dont miss out on cool stuff like this, cause im from Texas and we've got nothing like this over here.
why didn't you film in the houses? would of loved to see the carnival graveyard
11:33 idk I can't stop laughing at this
Nobody films horror nights like view from the cheap seats!
I was calling the MC the Master of Cemeteries
Hey chucky I have one question for you WHAT ARE THOSE sorry
Just curious.........Do most scare actors make it a thing to kind of avoid doing a scare on camera like or it just so happens that they rarely do any scares while directly at you?
I agree about the crowds Kyle. I think last night was the worst I have ever seen it both on the streets and in the express lines.
I wonder why it’s so bad. Do you think it’s just over sold?
Princess Almond Eyes stranger things
The more popular it becomes the more crowded it gets. They either need to expand to both parks or allow fewer people. Instead they try to price it out of reach for most, but it's not working.
That's the problem with Disney's Halloween party too. It's getting so popular and so crowded. I think both parks are overselling too much tickets.
I’m express
The girl on the left at 9:09 carrying her drink has had enough of dealing with everyone's shit
Does anyone know if you can ride roller coasters when you buy Halloween horror nights tickets or is it just haunted houses
Some rides are open during the event. Check the HHN website for specific rides that are open.
Does the express pass save time?
It cuts the line by at least 50%.
It does but it goes from under 200 to over 400 for 2 tickets.
Glad to see the chunky doll back but definitely not how it use to be. He was brutal before now just not offending people but I know why.
Wait, we’re there any characters from the houses at The harvest???
Nope. It’s scarecrow type characters in that zone.
Ok so every year we see videos from HHN and think , nah looks too gruesome and it's not for us. This year looks amazing. Granted we grew up in the 80s so that didn't hurt. I think the Duran Duran song I heard in the background and the Chucky doll sealed the deal. LOL. We're going on a disney cruise the 15th and have tickets for Mickeys Halloween party so we'll have to do this the next nigh!
There is a lot of 80s goodness this year!
@@ViewFromTheCheapSeats we just got annual passes again and bought HHN tickets for October 20th. It will be our first time ever. Cant wait. It will be one Spooky filled week. I told Ray I could watch that Chucky doll take the whole time. LoL.
How much is the express pass after 10pm?
12:50 Is that Slappy from Goosebumps?!
Jamie_Jewel probably, I know it isn’t billy from dead silence
It's Pee Wee Herman
Notification squad
Killer klowns looks sooooo good
Was that guy a pimp scare actor
Sooooo funny
I wanna see someone just hug one of the clowns XD
Like how they had chucky
Still seems like all houses with express is manageable in one night. Might have to run to stranger things first to get it out of the way
Could you please upload more footage of chucky that was well done in my opinion.
There are a few channels posting the actual interior of the houses and I have to say that Poltergeist looks the best but all the houses are pretty amazing this year visually. The Vamp 85 scare zone has so much potential but the fact that they have alive celebrities as vampires is pretty cheesy. I wish they made it like a huge dance party for everyone. The best imo is Killer Klowns & Chucky. I love how the Klowns walk slow like they do in the movie and the Chucky stage show is great. Universal really needs to reduce the amount of tickets they sell each night -- they are really endangering their employees and the attendees by not doing so. Hooray for HHN!
Angie K I love how the clowns are all bigger and taller than everyone
It's cool they did the dance to thriller
#ViewFromTheCheapSeats
Aha! A Simpsons Character! Chief Wiggum(?).
17:39 to the say, Right side.
Sweet I love Halloween
The Best Either Had To Be Chucky Or Killer Klowns From Outer Space
Thanks for the vid bro awesome
So excited for this year 😱
The ball was actually an apple in 1985! I fact checked it and everything.
@viewfromthecheapseats I remember seeing you at hhn in the moes tavern
They need to do a “Lost Boys” house one year.
Did you see Dev in Blumhouse?
TWO MINUTES TO MIDNIGHT!!!
IT HAS BEGUN!!!
The crowds look very intense this year! Its only September.
U should show when you’re in the houses so we can rate them to.
Universal Orlando doesn’t allow filming in the houses. The only video clips allowed inside houses are from approved media on their press night.
That's awesome
Thank you!
@@ViewFromTheCheapSeats np
I love killer clowns from outerspace
so you arent recommending stay and scream at least for right now?
Right now, the only stay and scream to get into the front houses is Finegans.
Any body going this year
I just need to book a weekend trip
Time marches on!!
Okay, is it true the hhn bear returned?
Bear is back! He’s not dancing...yet.
On 10:32 if u want to see chucky
Good vid
