Delightful campsite! Lots of amenities. The locomotives, the carriages, what a throwback! Delightful! My view is money 💷 is meant to be spent, you live once. You had an expensive weekend, but most importantly, you both had a wonderful time! Thank you Heather and Rick!
Once you got us to the site ( thanks for for that Rick ) but trains are trains are trains. Wow Heather my Nan had a tea cosy same as that . Great video thanks for laugh’s and video 🚐
Defo agree it's a bit cheeky to pay the higher price when you booked at a cheaper price, a great sight and handy for jumping on the train whenever you want!
Aw 10,000 miles. Nice site. I can hear Poppy whining with excitement 🐶 lovely trains. Nearly took Rick’s nose off! You know the answer- tea for Poppy. Imagine living near the railway line like that. Nice being so close to Broadway. Loved the old caravan. Well done with the filming Heather. £42 is quite a lot. Not sure it’s legal to inflate the price like that🤔 after you’ve agreed a price. They don’t get much stranger than Barry 🤣😉
Cheers both, we’re quite surprised we haven’t done more than 10k it seems we’re out a lot but not far… I don’t think we’ll be back at Broadway, lovely site but we need to cut back and £40 plus is only a Christmas and new year’s treat price from now
I feel for you Rick. I drive about 30 k a year and when Mrs K gets in with me she's like Hyacinth Bucket, so much so I'm amazed I manage on my own all week. Wow that was expensive for 2 nights but if their full they must be getting it right. Cheers K
Chew Choooo is definitely the international noise for any train. I agree that when you book a site it should be honoured at the price you agreed to at the booking. We are not members of the CAMC but booked Roundtree in York in January we are staying in September and have been advised the fees will be more expensive. Nothing I can do as we want to stay there to visit the place we got engaged. Take care Gill
Unfortunately I suspect with electric prices this is going to get a lot worse soon… we rarely use electricity I do wish they allowed the isolation of the post to make it cheaper but some sites only supply a full pitch. Ah well I liked the site but I’ve done it now I wouldn’t go back though
We went in the crown and trumpet too. Was recommended by some friends. All other places were very expensive and rammed. Even fish and chip take away in broadway had a 45 minute wait 🙈. Some of these club sites are getting too big for their boots.
The food looked nice at The Crown and Trumpet - looks like you had a good break and good Rick got to go on the trains again. Nice to see Barry and Lee too. Did you get much noise from the trains on and evening and overnight or is the line quite quiet? Nice to see the old caravan, shows how long the touring history goes back. Nice cross stitch of the C&MC sites too - bet that took some time! £41 or £42 a night seems a bit steep (unless the beer was included of course 😀) - naughty the price had gone up - wonder if it’s a sign of things to come. Well done Heather. All the best, David & Rachel 👍
hi just to comment on the price increase of the campsite fees, following my own bookings early in year , i did receive an email from the club notifying me that a possible small percentage increase would take place to cover the forthcoming energy increases so in defence of the club they got it right.
It’s still a bit cheeky in my opinion but we had no choice, I don’t even think we’ve hit the tip of the iceberg yet campsites will become unusable for normal folk soon with the next increases, I believe they need to start offering a tier system if you don’t want hook up or elsan or their water etc just the location it needs to be offered

Oh yeah we like to spend and enjoy ourselves but changing agreed prices is naughty in my opinion 👍
@@RickandHeather Now that I agree!

I’m afraid we like trains! Glad you enjoyed it tho

Yeah I’ve wanted to stop there for years because of its ease for the railway, I’ll be sticking with Cheltenham in the future though at half the price

@@RickandHeather yeah very expensive. We turned 9000 now. Hoping to go to Arran mid Sept so might get it over 10000. 🐶🐶🚐🧙♂️
Heather’s site tour was great ,(watch out Bob Earshaw ) 👍🤣
😂 oh yeah we’re gonna be as famous one day ha!
Lovely Broadway! Spent many happy times at that site over the years. Will agree that's all wrong Rick with the price issue!
Yep a bit naughty but it was full so they obviously know their business!
Looks like it’s gone up £10 in a year a lot 😱😳 nice park thanks for sharing.
Yep very expensive but a lovely site so…. Thanks for watching 😊

I call her the sat nag…. Yep, expensive but full so obviously it’s me… 😂

Agreed it’s getting silly now!

Hi the trains don’t run overnight so no issues, if anything there’s more road noise than anything, lovely site for sure but just a bit steep….
Broadway is a nice site but as you say not cheap but not sure what is these days. Also anice walk to the centre and a few places to eat and drink.
Yep a lovely site and the Cotswolds is beautiful but I don’t think we’ll use it again….
