      @@murtlegd 😂😂 appreciate it homie. And that first part u see so much of nowadays unironically. As someone else had mentioned in the comments, we remember when just beating the boss was enough of a challenge, obviously the more of these games u play the better u get and what not, but no matter what I want to tell friends on how to play to get “more out of it” I end up just letting them play, not knowing where to go and what to do is the best way to play these games, that sense of wonder and discovery is unmatched. Whichever way u get to the finish line is ur decision to make and part of the fun of these games; the discussions of how ppl fought certain bosses and what not, I think that’s one of the best parts of these games, the constant discussion that spawns from these encounters and the conversations that keep these games alive months and years later.

    I'm glad I watched this fight. I don't see how you reacted fast enough to dodge that fast swing followed by the slow double swing, but other than that, this video confirms to me that Radahn is the best fight in the game. He's the type of boss that makes you think he's broken even though he's pretty balanced.

      Yea that attack in particular is the most bs attack of all his moves, I still don’t fully understand it cuz I’ve dodged it while just standing in front of him, it’s very odd. After trudging thru this no hit tho I definitely understand the polarizing opinions ppl have of this fight. While I don’t think he’s perfect, I think ppl didn’t fully learn his moveset before truly critiquing the fight as whole, which unfortunately has plagued Elden Ring boss discussion since its release, hence why I started trying to no hit these bosses in the first place…cuz ppl would constantly say they were broken and leave no windows to attack, which is totally untrue, even for this boss, he has very clear windows to retaliate. In the same breath he is the hardest fromsoft fight ever made, I think for both good and bad reasons. The thing is he really isn’t as impossible as others make him seem if u consider all the tools this game gives u, such as shields, the Sekiro deflect, etc. I used no tools to make it more interesting for myself but I feel like ppl just hate experimenting, which is a shame because Elden Ring gives the player so many options to tackle each boss. I think the controversy of this boss is overshadowing the fact that we got bosses like Messmer and Bayle too, among others who I think r great additions to fromsoft’s finest. Lastly, I’m glad u enjoyed watching! I struggled immensely w this so I’m glad u can get somethin from this vid 😂 if ur ever bored feel free to check out the other no hits of ER bosses I didn’t a while ago. I think at some point I’ll be making a video discussing my thoughts on this dlc/game as a whole.

      @averageguy9072 if i may include some of my thoughts; this boss is fantastic. But here's the fly in the ointment- he is unforgiving. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but the extent that the boss punishes the player for improper positioning, and distance is in stark contrast with the other Elden Ring bosses. I think all bosses in Elden Ring were designed with positioning and distance in mind, but yeah this boss just cranks that design model all the way to 11. Not necessarily unfair, but undoubtedly unforgiving. I completely agree with everything you've said, about how there's so many tools to counteract the final boss, my personal favorite being sekiro deflect + guard counter, quite fun.

      @@hellogoodbye3786I think that’s a very fair stance to take, and one I think I also fall in line with to a degree. By the time I was at my last dozen attempts I think I finally understood most of his kit to where it didn’t feel as unfair as before, but yes I think the demand of perfect positioning is a tad extreme, like specifically when ur dodging all his attacks in the second phase but because u don’t dodge in the exact direction that u seemingly need to and then proceed to get hit from random light beams from behind. I think the one problem w him that summarizes it perfectly tho, for me anyways, is many times I didn’t know what I did differently from one attempt to another that would cause me to get hit by an attack I could’ve sworn I dodged the same way a previous time but that time didn’t get hit it by where it felt almost dare I say…random. I felt like many times I was praying the rng went my way, kinda like when malenia’s waterfowl would sometimes activate when ur right in front of her and ur basically screwed unless u find that one very funky and probably glitchy dodge that most ppl do to throw off her AI. I think in the end I learned him to the point where I can eliminate most of what I initially felt was just “bad rng” but I think what ppl don’t mention is the terrain that takes up like 90% of the arena. That bumpy terrain I swear screwed up so many of my dodges and no talks about it, but maybe thats just what it seemed like, because then u see Ginomachino post a vid of him fighting radahn for 30 minutes straight hitless, so who truly knows, an interesting boss to say the least. I think over time ppl might appreciate him more if they take the time to learn him, I can sense some of the experimentation they were trying w the boss in how u have to find unique ways to dodge certain attacks like the rock barrage and teleport in the second phase, but I also think this fight might’ve potentially been the upper limit of where they can push the souls combat to, but ppl also said that about malenia, and fromsoft always finds a way to make old things fresh and interesting as any fan knows. I’m intrigued to see where they go from here and I’ll be there for whatever it is.

      Preciate it man! No hits r funny because as long as u don’t mind dying to something over and over again, you’ll eventually get it, most ppl that value their time don’t want to do that tho understandably and quite frankly aren’t interested in that 😂 I gotta get my priorities straight maybe LOL. As I mentioned in another comment I like going for these no hits and sharing them because, while I’m far from the best at these games, I feel like sharing these no hits shows ppl that don’t understand certain moves and write them off as unfair, get to see that they actually have their windows of opportunity, even tho some moves r truly bs in this game like the giant attack in the mother of fingers fight 😂 but even then, it’s such an interesting point of discussion because us souls players r so used to being able to dodge everything that when we can’t dodge something thru the conventional means, we think it’s broken when actually in Elden
      Ring specifically, there’s many ways to avoid certain attacks that otherwise seem bs. An interesting game for sure and one with difficulty that will continue to be talked about. Me personally, I think because of that flexibility, being able to constantly tune ur character to the difficulty u want thru weapons, talismans, larval tears, etc. makes its perfect in that sense to me.

    Real question is: is Promised Consort harder than pre-patched Elden Beast?

    • @averageguy9072
      @averageguy9072  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I still think so, because of how hard it is to learn all of radahn’s moves in phase two but like a few other bosses in this game, the Elden stars attack always felt cheap, in my no hit of it I had to pull out bloodhound step for my sanity’s sake haha, so in that regard yes, but unlike many others, I always liked the final boss, more so for radagon who I think is extremely underrated as a boss, but I think the patch in of torrent was nice and makes sense, especially considering how much time u spend w torrent it a nice conclusion.

      Yea i could’ve done it that way, but other ppl did it that way, i just wanted to challenge myself in this way, im not trying to one up these ppl, u have those who are beating these bosses on dance pads and bongos haha. I’m just a regular guy that just wanted to put my own kind of challenge on myself. I actually never even beat him before fighting him this way, this was my first dlc playthrough. Having said that, I prob won’t don’t do a lvl1 no hit run of it cuz I’m not as ambitious as others nor interested in it, but I’m in the middle of lvl1 run in the base game, a very fun way to play. My bl4 run on bloodborne was certainly an experience, I think I’m still on orphan of Kos, haha, another fantastic game.
