Seriously, the uses of meteor to take out strategic targets is surprisingly underused in Sci-Fi.
Kind of mad this ended without another season it was a great show!

This was a good, underrated show. I swear I never knew it existed 2 1/2 decades ago 😅. I've always liked the concept of half-aliens living with humans and even helping them defeat evil aliens.
Make sure you check out Alien Nation .. good movie and a decent live action series.
I didn't know about this either till now because back in 1998 my mother was terminally ILL and I really didn't have the time for any television programs.

i remember this when it dropped. it's weird watching sci fi stories with investigations that don't use the internet
They had to be more creative with how they gathered information.

In fact, the story is so good this series should deserve a remake with quality animation. Even the voice actors are really good and you could keep the current dialogue. But I doubt that will ever occur. It's still worth a watch though.
What still freaks me out to this day about this is how much Ronny Cox looked like the character he voiced in this show. I clearly remember asking my dad, "Oh my God, is that the guy who played Cohagen in TOTAL RECALL (aka Ronny Cox)?" He was freaking out too.

Calling the cast voice talent is an understatement.
You hear Cohaagen from Total Recall, I hear Dick Jones from RoboCop.
I remember watching this back when it first aired. Junior high me loved it. If there is one series that I would love to see a continuation of or a reboot, it would be this one.
Once again another great show with an outstanding story and great Character development throughout Vol 1 and 2 but I do wish they could Bring this show back.

this dialog and gun usage was the kids version? what, we saw a man split into two....how was that made for ids? i think this was it uncut
For a show that didn't last long it had some fine women and a kickass story.

If your into girls not just 4 heads but 10 heads, was great series . Just got done watching Pantheon I would 100% suggest it and there a old one that was shown on fox half a lifetime 20 years ago called Red Planet that was also great.

Real shame that the never "finished" this show, it had a really good story and left us with a very intriguing cliff-hanger.
Also, what happened to the "twins" and was the idea that David's father now was going to meet with the United States president and form a formal alliance against The Dragit, and would they try and keep it a "secret" or make a public statement about it considering the damage caused by the meteors, and of course, was David's mother going to show up or were they going to go look for her?
So many questions left unanswered. Wish they made a second season.

Such a great show on a lot of levels. Writing. Voice acting. Wonderful character development. Artistry. etc. They always cancel the good stuff. Or beat stuff to death. seems like there is no in between. And I'm sorry if I offend anyone, but stuff like The Kardashians exist.
Anyway, thanks again Orbital Bacon. Kudos. It actually ended very well. Yes open ending. Some movies try to do this and fail. some succeed. I would call this a success. Let your imagination run with it. Very good. Very.

Wow I remember this. Theres was hype surrounding this show and I think the animation budget was pretty high. Unfortunately the ratings for this show were not good.
Yeah it's a shame it didn't do better. I bet the 2nd season would have been really cool.

Really good story, and sensible and believable characters. Shame the animation isn't better being from 1998. Worse part the spaceships suck. No effort was put into designing the spaceships. But good story, strong characters (that make sense), good sound FX. Sadly, the animation is poor as it gets worse as the series progresses. And where the story gets better as it progresses. Animators strike? lol

Sadly this is all we got of the animated series. It was continued in an actual book series.
@@OrbitalBacon An actual book?! Yuck! No seriously if the internal monologue of the kid is the level of the writing in the book than yeesh... The book author got lucky his amateur writing got an animated adaptation.
@@erykrejner2528To be more precise, there are only two books that were made. One was a prequel to the series, and the other was a retelling of the first 5 episodes.
So unfortunately there’s nothing else after that. 😞

There's alot of physical details about America that are incorrect. Locations and cities that look nothing like the actual places. example Hoover Dam not even close and located in the Midwest lol. Meaning a lazy foreign team of animators. Which is a shame because the accuracy in the story by the writers, including the story itself deserved the same quality in the animation. This could have won awards.
