- This is my last video and I feel bad doing something like this on my last night in Peshawar, Pakistan. I promise I had good intentions, but this is how the whole story ended up.

It starts from "You want Ice Cream" and end with Ashamed for doing this 🤣🤣. There is no Doubt that you are a kind hearted person . This is the reason why Education is more important .

David I totally enjoy your videos it was awesome to watch your generosity and open hearted thoughtfulness I have seen you do this in several other videos Bless you always! but yes this was a mistake!! although this could have happen anywhere it bought flash backs to me when I visited Karachi 30yrs ago my generosity bought many aggressive followers and they followed me relentlessly even grabbing my arms it actually caused a chaotic scene I literally had to run and hop into a cab and speed away..But I learned fm this incident and kept my help on smaller concentrated giving..Good Luck and God Bless YOU!!!

I have enjoyed all your videos! It is said that in ancient Greece, it was more important in terms of one's education to say where you have traveled, and not what books you've read! I traveled extensively in Asia when I was in the American military and later in civilian life. I discovered that generosity with locals was often appreciated, but occasionally seen as insulting. Brother, travel teaches us much and I just remind you, no one is perfect!
Can't agree more. When it started, Davud made it clear who can have the small gift. But when Davud gave the icecream man 600 rupee.That's a bad signal everyone on street can elbow others to get icecream.Only speed counts

Davud, while I do appreciate your intention of gifting people on the streets, perhaps you should be a little mindful. If I may suggest, you should refrain from giving out tips.. goodness is sometimes considered weakness.. chances for you to be taken advantage of. My 2 cents as a subscriber.
Yes I agree. I wouldn't say do not give tip to poor hardworking people if he wants as that is only his business if he wants to do something kind who are we to stop him. But my suggestion is be subtle about it if you don't wanna attract a lot of attention.
He should give tips to people that he did business with . But random people on the street asking for free stuff you have to be careful of .

He does have a point. You took it literal. America Is probably the only country with most laws on books. Those laws are conveniently used by powerholders/brokers aka authorities, as a tool whenever they feel they need to or to exert pressure, or for political reasons or simply to exact revenge or reparations. So, yes in this case he could possibly be detained for "breach of peace" "disorderly conduct" or negligence or similar if needed. Trust me America is probably the most corrupt and sketchy country that have you believe "no one is above the law," but only if stupid enough to be caught or used as patsy

I am extremely ashamed of what really happened to you in Peshawar. You are a kind-hearted person and I will not doubt your good intention of buying Ice Cream "locally called as Qulfi" for the locals. If I were you, I would be careful of not letting myself invited to troubles. Pakistan is a third world country and the majority of the population still struggle with the basic living needs. In a situation the one you were involved in shows the basic human nature of taking advantage of the situation. Any mishaps in our lives teach us valuable lessons that we cannot find in books. Again, I feel sorry for what happened to you. I wish you all the best for your future endeavors.

I think you should have stepped in and helped the vendor sort it out instead of leaving him like that. You could see he was getting overwhelmed and the crowd out of hand.
No he did right people were taking advantage of dauvd & poor kulfi he wanted to give kulfi to small children but the adults were trying to take advantage of him & kulfi guy....

Davud if possible go back and pay him some extra money, with 600 he could sell only 20 icecreams at 30 rs each, looks like more than 20 people took icecream from him.

This is what happens when there is tough economic situation . Try to be more subtle when you give people money . Especially if you give large tip if there are other people around . I think you should have given the ice cream guy more money. Hopefully he was able to close up early and leave for the day .
Poverty is the main reason for such behaviour. From a very young age children have to FIGHT for everything and to survive.

Snap 😇 you aren’t the first to have done this and won’t be the last. A lesson we must all learn the hard way. My Mum and her younger sister have been prone to causing mini riots in their foolishly unprepared / unthought out acts of kindness and things dangerously escalate very quickly. It’s the same everywhere in the world lol even in Central London, where they sometimes give out freebies to the suited city folk. Hopefully the poor vendor got away without being ripped to shreds. You just have to be a little mindful on where you do this and how many people are around at the time. With some discretion as it takes mere seconds for crowds to gather. It’s a most useful lessons learned video.

Personally i will not like to be shown in any vlog. Infact in some developed country the "right to privacy" is so respected that a old lady sued photographer for taking picture in which she was there (picture got viral) and photographer had to sell property to actually pay the sued amount.
Legally speaking some (ofcourse developed) have strong right to privacy and random filming someone is fine if they have given consent. In developing nations uneducated people dont know much and are acting like fodder for there vloggers who try to do stupid things in order to gain views/subscribers. But sometimes these vloggers have to pay price for such stupidity like one vlogger tried to make some video on Russian girls, he got sued and finally had to spend 1year in prison.
Being a educated person, if I get filmed by mistake i would love to take it to court and sue person for violating my right to privacy which according to UN is a fundamental right.

You have to get used to letting kids know that gather around you to leave you alone. It draws too much attention and can land you in trouble in Peshawar since it’s a very conservative city. Also handing out extra money can be troublesome too. It depends on where you are in Pakistan. There are also criminal gangs in Peshawar who if they found out that you walk around with endless money can also target you. Just my two cents. Enjoy your stay but keep it a bit low key.

In Mumbai we call it "Kulfi" not icecream, icecream is different.My favourite is mango kulfi with rooh afza sherbat.
