In this video I show you How To Replace the Pickguard on a Squier Affinity Stratocaster, while I change the pickguard on the Squier Strat I will also fit a fresh set of 9 gauge Fender strings.
This will also work for Fender Stratocasters as well

Any plans to do videos about making your own pickguards? Dont recall seeing one in the 2 years I've been following your channel. Would be good to see how you get on with typical DIY tools (most videos I've seen are from people with all the professional gizmos). Experiments with diferent pickguard materials could make for some interesting projects and content
To be honest pickguards are so cheap now and various materials/colours etc I don't really need to make them myself. You definitely need some kind of band saw to get a decent finish.
@@theguitarmanifesto Will be trying my best with a palm router, Dremel, files and sandpaper shortly using 3 ply plastic. Thinking it could be fun to try other materials down the line (wood, copper etc). Wish me luck 🤞

Are whammy bars a design flaw? Or a gimmick? It seems that a lot of guitarist that like strats avoid the whammy bar. I know you can get a tremolo effect with your fingers, a mod amp, and a pedal. Also I noticed Squier has a hard tail strat without whammy bar.
You either use them or you don't, pretty much as simple as that.

Can a fender Stratocaster pick guard be installed on a Zeny electric guitar? My son would like it on a guitar his father got him for Christmas. But not sure if it will work.
