I have seen every challenge episode and have seen some multiple times as I very much enjoy listening to them whilst falling asleep I am excited for future episodes.
I was homeless for about a month but lucky for me I still have a fully registered & insured car to use as a shelter until I started living in a temp shelter.
I've been there and finally got into housing through the VA (veterans) homeless program. I had to remain sober during transitional housing then got into permanent housing finally. I'm over 2 years sober now and still working on my mental health.
Here's a tip, when you're looking for a quiet, isolated sleeping spot the public playground has tubes that the kids play in. Of course no one's there at night so crawl up in one of them tubes and have a snooze in your own private Idaho!😊
A society is comprised of individuals. A society that would demand the government take care of the less fortunate instead of themselves is a society in decay. "Be the change you want to see" isn't just a trite saying.
I was told as a Child to avoid dented cans and other foodstuffs because of the risk of botulism. Not sure how common it is in the U.S but it has stuck with me.
It's not the same thing though, as a person in homeless circumstances has no recourse at all and are economically at the end of ther rope in a state of desperation, whereas "going homeless" psychologically you know it will be over in 72 hours and you can go back home in a few days and hae money in the bank..etc.. so psychologically and of course social and economically it is much worse and can't be duplicated.
01:52:13 it's because when you pan fry bacon it retains the fat/grease as it ends up being cooked in it's own grease, whereas if you use an airfrier/bake it the fat drips away
I appreciate this video to some extent because I myself was homeless as a child it was actually around this time of year the Autumn around Thanksgiving but other people are right it's not being homeless I do appreciate your efforts to understand though
As a former homeless person. 72 hrs is kinda a joke. Thats barely enough time to even go hungry. Much less try filling out applications or trying to get a post office box without an address. You will quickly realize how much harder your "simple" existence becomes much harder. People who are homeless DO NOT want to be homeless. No matter how much drugs or mental illness takes over their lives.
Ya... i had a friend voluntarily go through a similar experience for a project. He went out for longer than 3 days but he came back and wrote an essay saying he fully immersed himself in the experience. He wrote as if he knew exactly how others feel. But the flaw in the experiment is that he knows he's one phone call away from being picked up but his parents. He slept outside knowing he could just walk back to his apartment. I understand that going out and staying outside or a duration is as close as most of us have ever gotten to homelessness. But it isn't the same.
I absolutely hate the way some public places treat the homeless community in my city - just my opinion. I do understand how businesses work, but sometimes, I think people overlook the situation.
I really miss these challenge episodes. I'm not cool with the idea of our dear writer being killed in them since that was taking things to the extreme, a lot of the other more "innocent" challenges had me on the floor laughing.
People being wary of you at the library is also due to survival instincts. They know you are in survival mode, so your presence is a threat of being robbed of something of being put in danger because many homeless have mental health issues.
Yeah i lived on the street before and the way your saying things are is ridiculous bro.. You're making it up and badly too.. Rubbing dirt on you lol almost getting shaken down and some random mission handing out food? I'll take "things that never happened" for $1000 Alex. You wanna eat you better be in line when the shelter opens or you'll starve
3 days is not long enough time to get a real idea what its like. I did 3 years. only begged for money once. if not for the churches in my area I would have either starved or froze to death. your first stop should always be a red cross or a church for assistance. also. your restrictions are also unrealistic. a cellphone with no service would have been more realistic. also dont break the law. your better off asking for help than taking the risk of getting incarcerated. homeless commit shoplifting during the winter to get 90 days inside jail with food taken care for you. a friend and I even started a community that harbored other homeless people. I should write about it probably.
@@simeon8967 I might actually. Most times when I decide to say something online I'm met with the absolute worst of reactions. It's refreshing to get feedback that doesn't seem hateful. I was married for ten years straight out of highschool. No kids, divorce and age made me hyper aware that the associates in my life that believe me thought them friends were parasitic in nature. At the time I was a heavy marijuana user and a semi decent research chem dealer. I had been running myself ragged trying to get out from the stress and constantly at work because drug users don't have a regular sleep schedule whatsoever. So I started a business and ran it out of the garage area of my brothers house after several long weeks my wife approached me demanding money for bills and in the same breath ask why I haven't been home spending time with her..... I'm going to stop here anyone want to guess what happens next!? Imagine what kind of work day/week you would need to put into a start up handiman service and then tell me I'm the one being selfish and unreasonable... Because this was the 4th time she had made these complaints and I had finally started doing enough business where I didn't need to supplement the cash flow with illegal sales of a substitute substance. In my state that would have been ten years minimum. Well if you want more I can write the rest but I'm still 3 or four incidents before I wind up in a tent in January...
BUT THERE'S A MAJOR ISSUE WITH THIS INFOGRAPHIC EDITION!!! Basically you didn't have the stress over your head of actually being homeless and it not ending and essentially being in oblivion which you never know when or if it's going to actually end. Where as you did know it didn't have the full insight and thus weren't able to give an accurate perspective. Just saying ygm. As being homeless for long time I'd know so yh lol.
I totally empathize with the plight of the homeless as I myself was at one point. I was very lucky and found chance opportunities. I do agree it does become strictly about survival. I was lucky enough to not have to deal with the extremes as at least I had a vehicle, so I don't truly consider that I've lived the same incredibly difficult life others have. When normies start to give looks, I also see that as a form of survival for them. I'm not saying it's right or wrong one way or the other. Accosting homeless, especially unprovoked is vile, but when people are glancing and observing surroundings, they may also see homeless as dangerous because of stigma, current crime and theft involving them and possible violence. It's a strange connection, because yes those stares can be dehumanizing, but I think some people aren't thinking "oh what a terrible human being to have let that happen" (because it is so so much more complicated than that.) Some people are just thinking about what theyre next move would be, is this person violent? Are they going to steal from me? I ask those questions, but I don't necessarily judge them for it, because I understand that's what life, the system, society, culture has failed them. But at the same time, I don't want to possibly get stabbed. It's similar to women walking alone at night. No not all men are predators, but I'm very weary of them while walking alone because you never know what's going to happen
Homeless for three days I could do no problem. I can go several days without eating. I'm sure I can find free water no problem. No shower no problem. Try a couple months then let's see how you do.
The mistake you made in the all veggie diet was not adding tofu to it. Soy beans are the only veggie that have some of the same proteins that you find in red meat. Try that next time and see how you feel.
So you went on a poorly planned camping trip for 3 days... I did that for 2 years. Didn't watch the video. I find the concept disrespectful and I highly doubt you actually understand this topic or you wouldn't have done this.
The video with the lice. You can do this as well: slather your hair in mayonnaise and then wrap your head in plastic wrap. This also stops them from breathing, and you can get the nits out with a spell comb. Also, to help prevent lice in the first place, don't wash your hair all the time. Lice like clean hair it makes it easier for them to cling to the hair shaft. You should only wash and condition your hair once a week at most. The natural oils in your scalp are good for your hair, plus it prevents lice from being able to cling to your hair folical.
Seriously??! You are totally devoid of ANY concept of what TRUE HOMELESSNESS entails. Playtime and pretend are greatly entertaining for kids. I'm ecstatic that you had fun; the option to leave the sandbox and go home to warmth, security, and those innumerable creature comforts was utterly delightful, wasn't it?
I have seen every challenge episode and have seen some multiple times as I very much enjoy listening to them whilst falling asleep I am excited for future episodes.
Literally me lol
When new challenges coming out?! Heard they should be coming soon. Excited
I think there is a writers strike going on. I totally could be wrong I’ve heard that’s why don’t have more recent videos. I would be excited as well!
Great upload as always! Thank you guys! 🫡💙
You're very blessed you had people that love you and a home to go to when you were done
Sadly, I was homeless for nearly a year until I got sober. It's crazy how many little tricks you learn to survive.
News paper comes in handy
Same. Woke up to a dude throwing rocks at my dog. He nailed me kn the face with one. Times were tough.
Same. Been sober for 5 months and now have a good job and my own place again

How we treat our less fortunate ones, says a lot about who we are as a society, and so far, it doesn't look like it is saying anything good.
A society is comprised of individuals. A society that would demand the government take care of the less fortunate instead of themselves is a society in decay.
"Be the change you want to see" isn't just a trite saying.
@Unmannedair Are we not in decay, and give less than the bare minimum to those in need.
It's a vicious cycles.
Bro great video!!!
When will you all make the next episode of I survived a Allien invasion or the nuclear war one
Or the plague
Heart felt video. Enjoy your videos. It’s my time to do better Pay it forward.

He never really said it was the same in fact throughout the whole video he acknowledges how it isn’t-
pls bring another challenge episode soon
Can you do more Challenges Like that

Try eating vegan food for a week 😋
After watching your _public restroom_ segment, I started thinking maybe SCP-682 is right!
I bet your gf was upset! I bet you wouldn't dare let her try the same experience you had! Lol Thank you for sharing this vid!

What did you want him to do get his house sold for a life experience?
@@cupidshuffles8498So he'll be a wealthy homeless guy then?

great upload

very good
What happened to our favorite writer who does the challenges for real bet y'all didn't want to pay him more

10 pounds in 1 month is actually considered dangerously fast.
Our 138 wrestler did. it in a day, he didn’t try though he just lost it.
You should continue to ignore damaged packages in super markets since like you said it was the only reason it had been thrown out
For the billion dollar challenge real estate was great airplanes would have been the next step for me or yacht
How do we know you actually did this, sir? No video or photos
thought there were supposed to be a new one filmed by now already
11:08 I would also take the one one the right, Im a right winger also 😂😂😂
Keep skipping over the dented packaging. They throw it out, it becomes a meal to someone who can't afford it.
Done this during divorce ...as practice...best time of my life...
I still stay in a house
water is great stuff!!
I lost all for many months
and loved it..
got it back
now killing myself with boredom for 12 years..
Great
The Infographics show in a nutshell: Can you survive in space without a a spacesuit for 3 days???????
Infographic show please bring him back we all miss him
I've done the egg in Coca-Cola trick what do you mean it's fake? Do it yourself. It may be longer than 24 hours I think we left it 3 days.

I lived in my truck for 7 years , while I put my daughter to become doctor at age 26. It's not that hard

About 50% of Americans are 2 missed paychecks away from being homeless
I went homeless for 18 months to the day, starting on April 1st, 2010; and ending on November 1st, 2011.
Homeless is a lifestyle choice.
is this seriously the "challenge" video you were promising us....? This is just another compilation video🤬
I think I maybe homeless soon if I couldn't find job or harsh judgement.
Do you think the narrator really did the challenge himself? 🧐
Funny how America is considered “land of opportunity “
Steals food
