I haven’t been swarmed by fire ants but a good way to treat some bites from them is wash the area with dish soap. I learned that when I was on a mission trip in New Orleans, we were working on cleaning up the area around a sign welcoming people to that ward and there were fire ants there. There was another step too besides just washing it but I can’t remember what it was. I do know that washing it with dish soap helped a lot with the stinging/burning though.
