    It gets BONE DRY in winter here in Texas, and an even better solution to my dry air problems is to humidify my room.
    So, instead of the F&P HC150, I bought a Vicks "cool mist" room humidifier and packs of Vicks VapoPads (which go into it), and I found that very effective for keeping the room humidity at around 40%, which helps the water in my CPAP last longer.
    I can't do this in a semi due to vibration, for that, my distilled water supplier offers versions of their product with a spill resistant sport cap that makes refilling my water chamber easier.

      40% is good. We are talking about opening another USA Medical in Austin, Texas.

      Great, maybe you could describe how your distilled water supplier offers versions of their product with a spill resistant sport cap that makes refilling your water chamber easier. I would like to know that!

      @@arnecarlsson9740 well, the brand I order from (which is Ozarka, by the way) offers many different sizes and types of bottles of their products. The 16 oz sport cap version is the one I prefer, but they also offer traditional 8 oz, 12 oz, and 16 oz bottles in addition to gallon jugs.
      Also, some other brands like h2Doze and Snuggell offer CPAP specific sizes of distilled water, usually 8, 12, or 16 oz bottles.

    Best TH-cam video today! 👏👏👏 I got the HC150 kit which included a plastic tray that locked the humidifier on it! And there is space on the tray for the Airsense 10 also, making it a sturdy combination that has some weight to it! 😂

      You told me about it! Didn't even know it was an option.

    Can't you bypass the humidifier by simply turning the humidifier off in the settings without having to use the side cover. I understand that you either need the water chamber or the side cover inserted, otherwise the machine won't work. But is the side cover really necessary to bypass the humidifier?

    • @USAMedicalSupply
      @USAMedicalSupply  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes you can. Going do a video on it. When you use the humidifier, it has to be set to 0 but you can still run the heater plate without water but can’t do so with the side cover. It doesn’t allow for that mistake to happen. Also, for any extended periods of time, the humidifier and it’s silicone seals are subjected to pressure and will break down faster. The side cover is a $25 option while humidifier is a $30.

    CSPRING ONE is better, it holds 1 gallon of water and fills the water reservoir as needed throughout the night.

      How does it know to stop at fill line as anything over caused rainout in most circumstances?

    Will Medicare pay for the ResMed 11 insert?

      You will have to call. If so, it might be covered under HCPC code E1399. That is a miscellaneous CPAP hcpc code.

      @@USAMedicalSupply I am not sure what is the purpose of the insert, when one can run the Airsense with the regular water chamber in place empty in series with HC150 w/o the insert. My impression was to use the insert to make the unit smaller when traveling or when in very high humidity area! There many ways and pros and cons how preventing morning dry mouth using a CPAP machine. I have figured out what is best for me where in live in MS!.
