The flooring was constructed assuming no maintenance is required on the floating barrels. To service any of the floatation barrels, except for the one's on the edges, one would have to dive into the water to repair a leaky barrel, to replace a barrel or to clean off the bottom of the barrel, either this or you would have to pull the floating house onto a dry dock. Also there is no evidence of plumbing being ran or power wires being ran (the video shows the man using power tools). Other than this, I like the video.

1) It's nice to see a craftsman from another culture working with his native materials with such precision. 2) I'm a little concerned that once this dwelling is complete and loaded with furniture and whatever else will be in there that it may be top heavy. May want to fashion some outriggers on it or perhaps run a deck all the way around it for outdoor space.

The whole structure is held together by wire tied to bamboo, nails on bamboo, screws on bamboo, blue bins waiting to leak, etc. The first rain storm, typhoon, the whole house will be blown to bits.
