What an awesome ride!!!! When I lived in Tokyo I used to daydream about doing this. Unfortunately I sold my bikes and got old before moving back.... if I tried it now my thighs would be melted into mush in about ten minutes and it would take two weeks to recover lol
I've driven past this trailhead a million times and never noticed it. Is it listed on CO-Trex or ___? Appreciate watching you tame it down and yielding to sprocket-heads and hikers, we need more of that here in Colorado. As not "all sprocket-heads in CO are cool". At least the group throwing rocks at my son and I after arguing in front of a carsonite sign posting motorcycles and bicycles are allowed at a trailhead. I still go out of my way to share the trails here peacefully. It will take all of us fighting together to keep these trails open to the public.
It is on CO-Trex I believe. There are several trails that intersect the Crest trail. I do try not to ruin someone’s day by ripping by them. Motorcycles kinda ruin the quiet for hikers and MBers.
Nice video! Did you stay at the cabins in Sargents? Your bike tagged? Trying to decide if I want to go ride there next month or go back to Taylor Park or a couple days at both. Advise? Thanks!
Western pine beetles attack drought stressed trees because they cannot produce enough resin in their vascular tissue to suffocate the beetle larvae. Sorry, I’m a dirt bike enthusiast and a Master Arborist.

I hear ya! I also struggle with mushy legs! Be safe out there!
That is one busy trail.
It sure was. Every one was really nice though!
Was just on this trail the other day. One of my favorites!
The whole area is awesome! I’ll be heading back to Sargents before winter to hit a few more trails up there. Horseshoe Creek is on my list.

There is a lot of mountain bikes and hikers on this trail. I probably won’t do it again. Taylor is awesome though!
What time of year, Spring?
How soon can you typically clear this trail after a “typical” winter?
I think at least after July.
Just discovered your channel, awesome rides... what time of year did you ride this?
Welcome to the channel! Usually head to CO around August when the passes are clear of snow.
Noob question. Do you think an adventure bike could do this trail? Thinking Africa twin or ktm adventure
Probably, at least the part I rode. It was a fairly tame single track.
I need the Google maps location for this!
It’s at the very top of Monarch Pass on Highway 50
What camera do you have?
I have a GoPro10 Black. Had a GoPro7 previously. The 10 is awesome and worth the money in my opinion.
@@hannonenduro great thanks!

Ah thanks for the info! Dang beetles. They sure are tearing things up over the last few years.

That was a crowded trail for sure
