Inside Channel Nine’s NEW Offices

Channel Nine’s new offices are the result of an effective collaboration between Bates Smart, Buildcorp and furniture company ownworld. The three companies share a genuine appreciation of each other’s work, allowing the project to be guided by an innate sense of trust.
Replacing the channel’s previous residency, which was home to 59 years of company history, Channel Nine’s new offices sit on Denison Street, North Sydney. Bates Smart establishes a strong sense of identity within the new offices, to represent Channel Nine’s impressive legacy. A desk for the Chief of Staff occupies the centre of the newsroom, with desks for reporters radiating from it, visually declaring Channel Nine’s prominence as a news outlet.
A point of consistency throughout Channel Nine’s new offices is furniture by ownworld, specifically designed and selected by Bates Smart. From the ground floor to the newsroom, the chosen pieces of furniture positively contribute to the working environment. ownworld stools feature in breakout rooms, well-crafted joinery divides workspaces into sections and the outdoor area benefits from durable wire chairs.
By maintaining open lines of communication, Bates Smart, Buildcorp and ownworld are able to make operational functionality a defining element of Channel Nine’s new offices.
